About us

Origin:   Founded in 1987, our society meets the third Monday of every month at 6 p.m. at Cozard Memorial Library in Chamberlain. Open to anyone interested in genealogy and we will conduct a research for those asking.  Newsletters are published quarterly and membership is always encouraged. 

Mission:    Our mission is to gather and preserve genealogical data of the Lyman-Brule County area in order to help anyone and everyone in their quest for researching their family history. Our meetings are held every third Monday night at the Cozard Memorial Library  in Chamberlain. Business meeting at 6 p.m. followed by a program at 7.  We will also do genealogical research for anyone requesting us to do so. See our rate chart .
