I love comic books.  I collect an almost uncountable number of them.  Each for different reasons. Each with its own style and yummy goodness.  I hope that you will become interested in at least one of these (especially if you don't collect them right now).
Gold Diggers and Ninja High School.  Both are charming, done in black & white, and funny as Hell.  Both are put out by Antartic Press.  Gold Diggers is about a Were-Cheetah, her friends, and family and the wacky adventures that await them just around the bend.  It's a funny romp through the land of the anamorphic.  Ninja High School is just that.  A High School full of ninjas.  Doesn't that just bring a smile to your face?  Just the thought of ninjas makes my grin like a fool.  And they're doing stuff and being funny and kicking butt.  These two are extremely funny, but there story lines can be a little long.  Also if you're a MST3K fan you'll fit right in here, there are all kindsa bot jokes floating around in here.
Catwoman.  She's doing that vigilanty thing now, with a new costume and goggles and everything.  I admit I sort of miss the old C.W., but times cahgne and so do writing and art staff.  it's just the sort of thing one  has to live with.  Which is not to say that this chagne has been a bad thing.  Catty is still kicking butt and taking names, and wearing a pretty cool outfit, with awesome boots.  She's looking out for the little people (so little even Batman doesn't bother with them) and taking down drug dealers.  It's good to see her in a new light.  Plus, those boots!  I want the Boots!  I WILL HAVE THE BOOTS! (can you tell I like those boots?).
Lucifer.  Who doesn't like the Lord Of Lies, the Bringer of Dawn, and the King of Hell?  I know I do, and this comic proves me right.  Lucifer is a sauvy, blonde, well mannered business-man living in L.A., because he got tired of Hell.  He gets a letter from God asking him to Him a favour.  Lucifer accepts and ultimately gets a universe of his own creation, and he's a really nice guy about the whole thing.  Then war breaks out in Heaven and Hell's all about getting a peice of the new place.  It's pretty aweaome all around.  For each section of story (they take from 1-4 issues) they get a new set of writers and artists to work on it, so it's forever changing and doing new and cool stuff.  I'm loving it.  The characters are strong and well thoughtout, and there was a guest appearrance by Death.
