Dooyoo

Dooyoo is one of the largest European 'consumer opinion sites' on the internet. If you are looking for reviews of products and services from the people who use them (i.e. you and me) as opposed to some journalist who uses it for 24 hours and then throws a review together then you came to the right place! You will find thousands of opinions written by other internet users on just about anything you can think of. Perusing the "new in" list at the moment I find such varied subjects as Harry Potter, the war in Iraq, shampoo, ecards sites, movies and more. Basically, if you can buy it or have an opinion on it then the chances are you can review it here...AND be paid to do so!

As it stands, anyone can join up and write reviews on this site but, as with all its European rivals, only members from the UK will be paid for doing so. Currently, you need to write at least 75 words on your chosen subject (this paragraph is longer than that so it's dead easy) and you will be paid £0.03 every time another member of the site reads it. If you put extra effort into your review then you will be elligible to win one of Dooyoo's weekly awards which are given to the best reviews received during that week - an extra £1.50 plus a golden crown next to your review title which ought to gain you more readers (and therefore more cash) as well.

Dooyoo awards you in "dooyoo miles" which can then be converted to cash (55,000 miles - £50) or online vouchers(22,500 miles - £20) for Amazon.co.uk or Blackstar.co.uk once you have accumulated enough of them. Most internet surfers will be wary of sites which promise you cash-for-points and rightfully so but dooyoo is a site I have been using myself for over 2 years now and I can promise you this is no silly scam - they most certainly DO pay you! Dooyoo also holds regular (very winnable!) competitions with some great prizes for its UK members so there are even more opportunities to be rewarded.

There are a few unwritten 'rules' at Dooyoo which you ought to know before rushing off ahead. Firstly, anything you write simply must be your own work. If you copy from elsewhere you will be thrown off the site and any money you have earned so far will be forfeit. Oh and you will be found out by the way and quickly so don't try it! Secondly, it is advisable not to submit too many new reviews all at the same time because people won't read them. 2 or 3 a day is a good number. Thirdly, and this is optional but your reads/earnings will double if you do so - you should take the time to read/rate the opinions of other writers on the site. This gets your name known about the place and seeing as you only get paid when someone else reads your work then I'm sure you can see how a little self-publicism goes a long way. ;o)

Opinion sites can be quite time consuming but in many ways they are the most fun way to earn money online. For a start, you get to express your opinion on whatever the hell you want as opposed to something like survey sites which dictate what you can opine on and secondly, you get real-time feedback on your opinions from other internet users which can lead to some fun exchanges of thoughts and views. I did mention there are other sites and in case you were wondering yes you can cut & paste your reviews written on one site and paste them onto the others and be paid again for them in most cases. Check their terms and conditions and you will see that in most cases you, the author, still retain copyright over your own work so you can effectively be paid twice, or three times...or more...for the same piece of writing! Dooyoo users should look at Ciao and U-Rate-It in particular which both pay for your reviews and have no qualms about you using the same reviews again so long as you actually wrote them.
