Something In The Air
There's something in the air tonight. I feel it all around me, Closing in, dancing on my skin, An electrical jolt, a lightning bolt Straight through my heart, a poison dart. Into my blood this venom flows, I feel my senses begin to slow. There's something in your eyes tonight. I can't look away, try as I might. It captures me, enraptures me. Frozen in time, chosen to be The victim of your affinity. Imprisoned by chains, set free by the rain Falling from your eyes. There's something in your touch tonight. Some call it lust, some call it love. I'll just call it forever, a secret endeavor Taking us far, lifting us high above The disparaging stares, the condemning glares. No one believes in us, no one cares. But if they could feel what I feel And see what I see shining in your eyes, They'd understand, they'd realize, It's out of their hands, and in our hearts, And nothing can ever tear us apart. There's something in the air tonight, Growing strong, glowing bright. I think we've found our Paradise.
