Reflections

All it took was just one look
To make me fall in love with you.
One look into your enchanting eyes
And I could feel myself falling,
Falling head over heels
In love with you.
You enter my sight and
Everything stops, everyone disappears
Except you and me.
We move closer in slow motion
Yet the distance never really closes,
For a windowpane separates you and me,
And I am just a reflection in the glass.
My heart breaks as I give up on you,
Give up on you too soon,
For in the end I realize
That you really loved me too.
My love for you made me blind,
So I couldn't see your reflection
In the glass, right beside mine.
