I Love You Now

The sparkle in your eyes
Is setting my heart on fire.
I don't understand,
It's out of my hands.
I always thought falling in love
Would take a miracle from above.
I guess I was wrong.
I've loved you all along.
Is this for real?
I can't believe love is what I feel.
I remember when I could've cared less
And avoided saying yes.
I didn't want you near me,
I wanted to be free.
But now I take it all back
For my emotions are under attack.
Cupid's arrows have pierced my heart
And I can't keep from falling apart.
For the longest time, I pushed you away.
Now I'm begging you to stay.
I'm sorry I made you cry,
I'm sorry that I lied.
But now I know I really need you here,
To wipe away my tears,
To comfort all my fears.
I loved you then, I love you now.
To get you back, please show me how.
I'll do what it takes
Until my heart breaks.
Just take my hand and love me today
And let the past slip away.
