<Reyes> Scully, how is William?
<Scully> (smiling) He's fine, Agent Reyes, thanks for asking.
<Reyes> He's so cute!! (playing with young William)
<Doggett> Agent Scully, we're sorry to drop by unannounced...
<Reyes> We have a lead on a case that could use your expert opinion.
<Scully> (looking up from the baby) What's up? I don't know how much I can help, but I'll do what I can.
<Reyes> (hesitates) If it's too much.....
<Scully> Well why don't you tell me about it first.
<Reyes> Agent Doggett, do you want to take this?
<Doggett> (long awkward pause)
<Mulder> (walking in from the other room) Hey, I thought I heard somebody...why didn't you wake me, Scully?
<Reyes> Hello, Mulder.
<Doggett> (offering hand) How are you, Mulder?
<Mulder> How ya doing Agent Reyes...Doggett (shakes his hand)
<Reyes> We were just telling Agent Scully about a lead on a new case.
<Scully> They want our help, Mulder.
<Mulder> Anything I can help with?
<Doggett> (drawls) Yeah, I hope so, Mulder, I hope so...
<Mulder> Shoot.
<Doggett> This is kinda personal for me...I think you can relate to this, Mulder.
<Reyes> Doggett, do you want me to tell them?
<Doggett> No, no, I need to do this, Agent Reyes.
<Reyes> Go ahead, Agent Doggett.
<Doggett> (taking a deep breath, looking away from others) We've come across a case that strongly relates to...to Luke's...death. Something that could blow his case wide open...But I don't know where to go, what to look for...I was
hoping you all would help.
<Reyes> (interrupts) We got the lead the other day.
<Scully> Is this another murder, John?
<Doggett> Yeah...yeah, it is. I think the three of you here know more about satanic cults than I do...
<Reyes> Agent Doggett got the okay from Skinner to do further investigation.
<Scully> Do *you* think it involves a satanic cult, Agent Reyes?
<Reyes> I do believe this could be cult related, and it does look dark.
<Mulder> Satantic cults or not we're going to have to see the crime scene. Where are we going and who's handling the case right now?
<Reyes> Doggett and I are supposed to go to New York, right Agent Doggett?
<Doggett> But there's no need for you two to go with us, Mulder...you've got more than enough on your hands
<Doggett> But Agent Scully, if we can send any lab reports your way...
<Scully> Of course, Agent Doggett, anything I can do to help.
<Mulder> (nods) I can do some research for you here also.
<Doggett> I'm told the autopsy report will be available within a few days, could you take a look at it, Agent Scully?
<Scully> Of course.  Who is the victim?
<Reyes> The victim is an 8-year-old boy.
<Doggett> Signs of ritualistic mutilation.
<Reyes> Strange carvings were found on his body.
<Reyes> Mulder, I've been told that you have some friends who could help, right?
<Mulder> I'll see what I can find out from my friends. Is there anything else that makes you think this crime is related to your son?
<Doggett> (hesitating) A message seems to have been left for me...
<Scully> (looking at him in concern) You mean the killer left a note of some kind at the site?
<Mulder> (looks on expectantly) What did it say?
<Doggett> (looking embarrassed) Not...exactly a note. (looking at Reyes) Agent Reyes, can you help me?
<Reyes> (hesitantly) well.....
(William begins to cry)
<Reyes> It was more like a well, body part in a bag, with no fingerprints to be found.
<Scully> (distracted by William's crying) What was in the bag?
<Mulder> I'll take him. (picks William up and paces with him)
<Reyes> It was part of a foot with Agent Doggett's son's initials carved into it.
<Reyes> But the thing is, it wasn't Luke's.
<Scully> 'LD'? That could mean anything, Agent Reyes. Even you must know that is an extraordinary leap.
<Reyes> Well, for it to be sent directly to Agent Doggett, that's a little odd. Don't you think?
<Scully> (reluctant) Okay...does this match with any...carvings...in other...cases?
<Reyes> Yes, we've found two other cases in the New York area with similiar case discriptions.
<Reyes> The case descriptions were too similiar to be a coincidence. There were also carvings in the other cases too. All of them fit the "Satanic" profile.
<Mulder> (rocking William) it sounds like you two need to get to New York asap. I'm going to pay a visit to the gunmen. whoever it is, he needs to be caught and the sooner the better.
<Scully> When are you leaving?
<Doggett> We've got a flight booked out later this afternoon. (looking at his watch) We'd probably better get going, Agent Reyes.
<Reyes> You're right, Agent Dogget. I'm right behind you. Agent Scully, we'll get that autopsy report to you as soon as possible.
<Doggett> Mulder, Scully...thank you for your time. (smiling towards William) You take care of things around here, okay, Mulder?
<Reyes> (looks lovingly at William) Take care of this little one.
<Mulder> No problem...we've got it all under control. (hands the baby over to Scully) He's fallen asleep.
<Scully> (standing up with effort to see them out) You two take care, and keep in touch.
<Reyes> Take care Scully and Mulder. And we'll be in touch.
<Doggett> (shaking Mulder's hand again)
<Mulder> Don't hestitate to call if you get into a jam...we owe you one.
<Reyes> (walking out the door) Don't worry, we will.
<Doggett> (waving him off) Don't mention it, Mulder.
(Reyes and Doggett exit)
<Mulder> (watches as Scully takes William back into the room)
<Scully> (comes out and walks to Mulder, sliding her arms around his waist) I hope John is okay with this case, Mulder.
<Mulder> (seems distracted) Yeah.
<Scully> (rubbing her cheek against his chest) Mulder...the baby is sleeping...he'll be down for at least an hour...
<Mulder> Yeah, I know...are you thinking what I'm thinking, Scully?
<Scully> (looking up at him with a sly smile) You want to take a nap with me, Mulder?
<Mulder> That sounds like fun.
<Scully> (Mulder and Scully link arms and head towards the bedroom)
