Back
(Jan. 2001 - Mar. 2001)
Dates: November 4, 2000 - December 23, 2000
Week ending
on December 23rd: The holidays are here and that equals
a very quiet week of X-Files news. But don't
forget to watch the X-Files (2nd
season) marathon on FX on New Years Day! Gotta love FX for always playing
our favorite
show. Also, Gillian Anderson's new
movie House of Mirth opened this Friday here in LA! So go see it folks...I
know I am!
And sadly, no one from or related
to The X-Files was nominated for Golden Globes this time around. Fianlly,
unfortunately, I
have no spoilers for this week at
all. Not even small ones. Yes, I'm still trying to be spoiler free
for the rest of the season. So far
it's working, sort of! :-)
Week ending
on December 16th: Well, bad news... After Via Negativa airs
this Sunday, we won't see a new episode of
The X-Files until January 7th. :-(
But it's not such a long wait. And in the mean time, Gillian Anderson will
be making
appearances on both, The Daily Show
and Rosie O'Donnell this week...so keep a look out!
Here's the latest schedule according
to the OS:
12/17: "Via Negativa" airs
12/31: "Hollywood A.D." re-airs
01/07: "Surekill" airs
01/14: 8x10 airs
01/21: 8x12 airs
And I heard that the much awaited
episode 8 airs on Feb 4th
Spoilers:
8X08: According to Soundtrackmag.com,
Mark Snow will appear in an upcoming
episode of The X-Files. Here is
the info:
X-Files fans should watch closely
on Episode #8 this month - they'll see Snow onscreen in a cameo performance.
The episode also features a brief
return of David Duchovny. "I play a doctor, and I don't say anything and
I'm not on the screen
too long, but it was a fun moment,"
Snow told Soundtrackmag.com. "Kim Manners, the director, called up
and said, 'Look, get your ass over
here, I want to have you in this show!' And I said 'Okay!' It was one of
those night shoots,
you get there at 8 and you leave
at 5 in the morning."
8X09 has a title now..."Surekill."
8X12: From an anon source: According
to the script the last line is "Maybe if I could see through Mulder`s eyes
I could
understand."
8X13: "Medusa" A contagion lurks
under the subway tunnels of Boston in the next episode from Frank Spotnitz.
"Medusa,"
scheduled to air February 11th,
will be directed by Richard Compton. Although it airs twelfth in the season,
the script numbered
8X13 begins shooting on December
11th.
8X14 "This Is Not Happening":
From an anon source: From an early
draft copy of the script Scully explains that Theresa Hose was 'the young
mother who was
abducted, the night before Agent
Mulder was'. The Dr. tell's Scully, Skinner and Doggett that Theresa has
asked for her baby,
but hasn't said anything else. The
direction says this 'hits' Scully, and that Scully is 'shaken' by Theresa's
condition.
Week ending
on December 9th: It's been a busy week for Gillian Anderson.
Today, she's doing the Neurofibromatosis
benefit on the Fox lot and a bunch
of her lucky fans will be spending some quality time with her. Thursday,
she was on
Letterman, which was a repeat from
May, and she also appeared on a Fox auction special on Thursday where ahe
read "Twas
The Night Before X-mas" to a bunch
of kids. Now how cute was that?
Spoilers:
8X13 Info from Autumn T. on AOL
An organism that consumes flesh
is in the tunnels of the Boston subway system. Scully & Doggett investigate
along with
the CDC.
Episode 14 from an anon source:
The X-Files is casting for an "Agent
Karen Miller" for Episode 14. She's described in the breakdowns as "attractive,"
late 20s
to early 30s, and the breakdown
says she's spiritual, and "this may make her more open to the paranormal,"
but she's still very
grounded. Strange description maybe,
but that was the gist of it. Don't know if this is the new female agent
or not. Reports say
the part is listed as"Guest Star"
rather than as a "Recurring" or "Lead."
Week ending
on December 2nd: Vince Gilligan did a chat for the Official
Site earlier this week...so go on over there
and read the transcript! There's
word going around that The X-Files will not air during the month of March.:-(
Fox plans to air
the spinoff The Lone Gunman series
during that month. But our show will return in April! :-)
Spoilers:
(Remember I've been trying to avoid
them for the most part)
Episode 9 is a MOTW which is a cross
between 'Roland' and 'Trevor.'

of LA TV Times Magazine this Sunday... Gillian,
Robert and Mitch are on the cover!

Spoilers:
8X12 from Autumn T on AOL:
I'm not making this up. This is
a Monster of the Week episode that has to do
with a begger from India with no
legs who gets around on a squeaky cart and
has powers to alter perception.
Week ending
on November 18th: Nothing really, but hey, the show is
back on isn't it. What more can we really want?
:-)
Spoilers:
8X11: 'The Gift'
Written By: Frank Spotnitz
Directed By: Kim Manners
From a new anon source:
Adding on to what is posted below,
there are a few interesting scenes with a character named "Woman." At her
house, Doggett
discovers another character he believed
had been killed by the soul-eater (the same character that Mulder apparently
believed
had been killed by the soul-eater
in May 2000, but who was alive -- although very ill -- when Doggett first
arrived to
investigate). Doggett takes that
character, Marie Hangemuehl, to the hospital where he meets up with Skinner,
who had gone to
look for the soul-eater. Doggett
asks Skinner about the soul-eater, and Skinner tells him it wasn't there.
Doggett can't believe it,
and then the script says that "as
Skinner leaves, Doggett sees something that makes him realize Skinner knows
exactly where the creature is --
Skinner is lying to him too.
Week ending
on November 11th: Not a whole lot. I hear that the ratings
were great for the season premiere though!
Did anyone catch Gillian Anderson
on Leno on Monday? She's quite brave...she told a really embarrassing story.
If you saw it,
you know what I mean.:-)
Spoilers:Even though these aren't
really spoilers...
Episode #11
According to the OS: The mythology-laced
episode numbered 8X11 follows Doggett's intensive pursuit into the truth
behind
Mulder's disappearance. He gets
a helping hand from Skinner and the Lone Gunmen. "The Gift," written by
Frank Spotnitz,
tracks a mysterious creature with
unique capabilities in Squamash, Pennsylvania. The episode, directed by
Kim Manners, is
scheduled to air on Sunday, Feb.
4th.
Episode #14
From Autumn T on AOL:
"Come episode 14 a new female FBI
agent character is planned to be introduced. Carter is starting to audition
next week for
someone "30s and attractive" - it's
been made clear that the character is not meant to replace Gillian."
Week ending
on November 4th: I have good and bad news for this
week. The good news is...That this is it
folks...Tomorrow the Season Premiere
airs!!! So, just so that you know...no more major spoilers will appear
in this news
section as I attempt to remain spoiler
free for the rest of the season. I'll still post small very-generalized
summaries, but that's it.
Ok, I couldn't resist knowing all
I could before the premiere, but I actually enjoy being shocked, so I hope
I don't bum any of
you out...If you must have spoilers,
I suggest that you visit the Haven, Fandom.com, and many other sites that
always have
spoilers. That was the bad news...not
so bad at all was it?
Also, don't forget to pick up your
3 copies of TV Guide this week...All 3 heroes have a cover of their own.
:-) And there are
articles and reviews about the X-Files
Season 8 just about everywhere now.
Spoilers:
I think that if you haven't read
all the spoilers for "Within" and "Without" by now, that you're probably
trying to avoid them for a
reason, so I'm not going to post
anymore. It will be on tomorrow anyway!
Episode 8X10 info from the Haven::
Is a monster of the week episode.
It takes place in Muncie and has to do with robotics.
Remember... The Truth Is Out There
