design technology is one of the most important subjects a student can take as it blends both academic rigour with the creative design process.it allows students to develop both gross and fine motor skills, it also develops investigatve thought. planning , research and design realization.
a typical lesson starts with a thought or "idea concept" which is developed through a seiries of ideas and sketches and modification until the desired result is found and then is actualy produced, within this a criteria is adhered to and a specification of what and what the product must dois defined.we look at asthetics ergonomics and design.this thought proces and concept is is essential in all aspects of life and planning and just like zen each thought process and idea influences the next and each modifaction has an effect on the final outcome. |
