Team Bush Captures First L.A.W.A. Championship
Team Bush, with their gritty style, won the first LAWA championship.  Bush had an up and down regular season, but they really heated up during the playoffs.  In the championship game they easily defeated Team Josh Murphy in the Whiffle Whind Championship of '03.
Kyle Libby didn't enter the championship game until the fourth, and didn't come to bat.  His moral support on the sideline kept his teammates in the game. (right)
A big part of the victory was Team Bush coming ready to play.  They had hats and mittens, as well of course as their bat.
Team Bush's fans were the most organized of any team.  They had special cheers ready for the East Side Final, as well as the Championship. (right)
Team Bush didn't come in to the playoffs as the top seed, but they were like a cobra ready to strike in the playoffs.  (left)
Above is a mural that the Leadership Council had commissioned to honor the LAWA Champions.  Here you can see that the masterpiece tells much of the story of Team Bush, from the Gold Bat in Dustin's hand that in this picture appears tainted green.  This is often said to represent the envy that the other teams in the league had for the champions.  Also, of course, is the missing Kyle.  The artist could have gone for the subtle reminder that Kyle was not there, however he choose to write up the words for all to see "Where's Kyle."
After the victory the party went on for hours at the champs' home.  Here we see part of the victory parade that met Bush as they returned home.  (at left)
