| Finally at home, Jack couldnt get out of his clothes fast enough. That last kiss had been intense even before Lennies fingers had touched him. And that last comment Sweet dreams, Jack! Lennie had done it intentionally. He wanted Jack to take his pleasure even if Lennie couldnt give it directly. The memory of those fingers on his crotch was like fire. He was so hard, his need so great. He sprawled on his bed, naked, his own hand wrapped around his dick. But in his mind, it was Lennies hand, stroking him, caressing him. Quick, sharp breaths alternated with long moans as he imagined Lennie beside him, teasing him, sucking him like hed been sucking that damned pickle at dinner. That image pushed him right over the edge, whimpering, gasping for breath, finally crying out with his release. Ohhhhhh! Oh, god. Lennie ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lennie woke up relatively early Saturday morning; he really had been tired last night, and had fallen right asleep. Lazing in bed, he wondered if Jack had enjoyed his little going away present. Hed have to be careful; he was starting to feel a bit frisky, although he knew he really should take it easy for a little longer. But he wasnt really responding too much on a physical level yet; it was more intellectual and emotional. He started to have an idea about tonight An hour later he was showered, shaved, dressed and eagerly looking forward to getting out for a bit. Jack was on his way over; they planned to take in a movie then get a late lunch/early dinner. He laughed; just knowing Jack was coming was still enough to get his heart pounding. // youve got it BAD, Briscoe! // The knock at the door dragged him back to the present. He opened it to see Jack standing there grinning at him. Morning, Lennie. Lennie waved him in. Morning. Jack parked his helmet and jacket on the coffee table and turned to Lennie, pulling him in for a kiss. No where near as intense as last night. Still, it was enough to take Lennies breath away. They stood for a moment, arms wrapped around each other, grinning like a couple of idiots. Finally Jack laughed and leaned forward, leaning his forehead against Lennies. Thats still so strange Lennie reached up and caressed his cheek. What? Kissing someone as tall as I am. Lennie laughed. We are pretty well matched, arent we? Jack nodded. Compared to Claire god, she was tiny! Just a hint of the old sadness crept back into his eyes. Lennie pulled him close, not saying anything, just giving him the moment, then let go. So, where are we going? Lennie already had the morning paper spread out on the table to the entertainment section. They settled on a comedy playing at a theater a couple of blocks away. You feel up to walking it, Lennie? Yeah, I think so. If I get tired later, we can always grab a cab. Great. Jack reached for his hand, as if to go, but Lennie shook his head. Jack, out there were just friends. No holding hands, nothing sappy. The reality of the situation hit him square between the eyes. Oh, god, Lennie, I didnt even think. Lennie nodded. I know, Jack. But youre going to have to start thinking like that. My life could depend on it. Theres a reason Im not out. Jack remembered. The Levinson case. Lennie nodded. Yeah. Jack reached out and caressed his face. Are you sure you want to go out? Oh yes. Ive been cooped up in here too long. We can still have a good time, Jack, we just have to be discreet about it. Dark movie theaters are good Lennies grin said the rest. Jack felt himself blushing. OK, I get the picture! Lennie found his sudden shyness quite charming. He leaned in and gently kissed him. Now come on. The couple of blocks walk to the theater left Lennie a little winded, but he was determined not to show it; besides, they had a couple of hours now to sit back and relax. He insisted on a big bucket of popcorn after all, they werent having lunch until after and a large soda. The theater was one of the new stadium-style, with nice comfortable seats up a very steep incline so that you didnt have to worry about sitting behind a tall person. Of course, neither of them usually had to worry about that, other than BEING said tall person who annoyed the people behind them. Lennie preferred sitting near the top so his neck didnt get sore from looking up at the screen, but about halfway up the incline, he had to stop. Concerned, Jack laid a hand on his back. Lennie? You alright? He nodded. Yeah, just a bit winded. Jack pointed to a couple of seats in the row they were standing by. How about these? They settled in, and Lennie discovered much to his delight that the seat arms actually folded up. Now there was nothing between them; he could feel Jacks leg next to his, and once it got dark, nobody would see them holding hands Finally the lights dimmed and the trailers started. Lennie knew that after his earlier lecture, Jack would be skittish about starting anything, so he simply slid his hand over on to Jacks leg while pressing his own leg against it. Jack took the hint and covered Lennies hand with his own. It occurred to him that in the future when Lennie was feeling better, things could get a little more R rated he grinned to himself, filing that under things to do one of these days. An hour and a half later, they came out of the theater laughing. Lennie spotted a bench in the hall and sank down on it, groaning. Oh, god, Jack, next time I break a rib, remind me NOT to go to a comedy? Oh, that hurts! Jack laughed. Reminds me of a date I had in college. Shed just had her wisdom teeth out. Same thing. You ever try to laugh with stitches in your mouth? I felt so bad, the movie was my idea to cheer her up. Ouch! Yeah, I sympathize. They waited a few more minutes for Lennie to catch his breath, and to let the crowd thin out a bit, then headed out. You still want to get some lunch? Lennie just looked at him. Obviously you havent heard my reputation with food, Jack. OK, ok, just checking. This is your neck of the woods where do you want to go? He thought for a moment. Place not far from here, great burgers. Sounds like a plan. Lead on! It was an odd time for a meal, about 3PM, so they had no problems getting seated. They pigged out on burgers, fries, and even indulged in an old fashioned milk shake. Jack had to laugh. This reminds me of growing up back in the 50s. Lennie smiled. The place had a decidedly 50s dcor. Yeah, seems like forever since then, doesnt it? It sure was a simpler world. Turned out they had both grown up in working class neighborhoods, which, although one was in Chicago and one in New York, had a lot in common. Jack noticed that Lennie talked a lot about his mother, but never mentioned his father. He finally called him on it. Lennie sighed. What can I say, Jack. He was a drunk. I guess it runs in the family. Jack had first hand experience of just how bad that could be. Did he ever hurt you? Lennie looked at him, surprised. No. Whatever gave you that idea? Jack shrugged. Mine was a mean drunk, Lennie. Lets just leave it at that. Lennie realized that his friend was carrying some very deep scars. OK, I hear you. No, he just was never there. Like I was never there for my girls. He shook his head sadly. What about now? It seems like Cathys trying to get over it. Lennie smiled. Yeah, I guess so. I really should call her this week. You said girls. You have another daughter? Julia. Shes the older one, what, 26 now? Lives in Florida with her husband and my grandson. Grandson? Come on, youve got to have a photo. Lennie laughed and reached for his wallet. Hes three now. Names Jason. Hes beautiful, Lennie. You get to see them very often? No. Actually, I havent been down there since he was born. Why on earth not? Youve been on the force a long time you ought to have more vacation time than you can use. Why else money. My first ex remarried, but Gloria never did, she still gets a big chunk. And we just finished putting Cathy through nursing school last year. Im just now starting to catch up. Im hoping maybe this winter Ill be able to make it. Jack just shook his head sadly. Lennie noticed his response. What about you, Jack? Family? Married once the first of my assistants that I dated. Weve got a daughter, Kelly. Divorced a few years later she said I worked too much. Shes with a big private firm now, makes a hell of a lot more than I do. At least they stopped the alimony; and I dont begrudge a penny for Kelly. How old is your daughter now? Lord help us, sixteen. Lennie laughed. You see her often? Once in a while. Not often enough. Lennie nodded. I hear you, my friend. Its never enough, no matter what the reason. They finished up and paid the bill, then headed back towards Lennies apartment. By the time they got up the stairs to the second floor, Lennie had to admit he was pretty beat. Jack hovered protectively. Lennie? You ok? Lennie flopped down onto the couch. Yeah. But glad were home. Jack went into the kitchen and filled two large glasses with ice cubes and cold water, brought them out to the living room. Tell you what lets get comfortable, and you wont have to move the rest of the day if you dont want to. He put the drinks down on the coffee table, pushed it down a bit and moved the ottoman from the chair to one end of the couch. He got comfortable in the corner with his feet up on the ottoman, and Lennie gratefully stretched out along the couch, leaning against Jack. Jack smiled, one arm wrapped protectively over Lennies chest. Hows that? Lennie all but purred with contentment. Perfect. Remote control and drinks easily within reach, they settled in for the afternoon. Channel hopping produced a ball game, which was just enough to hold their attention. Jacks hand played gently over Lennies chest, almost absently. The comfort and contentment on top of a busy day out were more than enough to lull Lennie into a nap. Jack smiled as he felt Lennies breathing becoming shallow and regular. A college friend had once told him that the ultimate expression of trust was being able to fall asleep in someones arms. Seeing the softness sleep brought to Lennies craggy face drove that point home. Once again he was overwhelmed by a tenderness he hadnt expected to find in a relationship like this. A relationship like this. A gay relationship. He finally let himself think the words. This was certainly nothing like what he had expected. Not that he was entirely sure WHAT he had expected. The fact that Lennie was recovering from his injuries had forced them to go slow, which was exactly what Jack had needed. Time to accept the idea, get used to it. He wondered if this meant he was gay too. Probably not; unlike Lennie, he hadnt actually been dissatisfied with the women in his life. He probably would have married Claire if fate hadnt taken her away from him. OK, so that made him a switch-hitter. He could accept that. Because there was absolutely no doubt that being with Lennie aroused him. Hed been kind of in low gear all day, consciously holding back out in public. But now that they were home, // when did this place start to feel like home? // and Lennie laid in his arms, he started to feel it again. His fingers gently slipped open the first button on Lennies shirt, just enough so he could slide his hand inside. He wanted to feel the warm flesh beneath. Lennie let out a soft sigh, not quite waking up. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A while later, Jack blinked, suddenly aware of the crick in his neck. He must have dozed off as well. The clock said it had been over an hour. Reaching for his glass, he was glad he had gone heavy on the ice; the water was still cold. He tried to be careful not to wake Lennie, but his neck required movement. Sleepy eyes fluttered open as Lennie looked up at him. Hey. Jack smiled. Hey yourself. Feeling better? Lennie tried to stretch without actually getting up. How long was I out? About an hour. And it wasnt just you. But at least you had a pillow. He had to let go of Lennie to rub the stiff spot in his neck, but not before Lennie noticed the hand inside his shirt. Lennie finally sat up, gave a good stretch and reached for his drink. He glanced over at Jack. Stiff neck? Yeah. Didnt mean to fall asleep myself Lennie laughed. Hang on a minute and Ill rub it out. First things first, though He got up and headed back to the bathroom. When he came back, he stood behind the chair. Your turn to sit back and relax, Jack. But how about losing the shirt first? Collars just get in the way of a good massage. Jack laughed; it was a good excuse, and he had a feeling thats mostly what it was. But he wasnt complaining, he had started it . He peeled the shirt off and settled into the chair in front of Lennie. A pair of warm hands gently landed on his shoulders and began kneading. Ohhh, that feels nice. Lennie purred, Im just getting started For about 15 minutes, strong hands moved over his neck and shoulders, warming, stretching, relaxing. Then Lennie bent over, letting his hands slide over Jacks shoulders and down his chest, the touch becoming more of a caress. God, it feels so good to hold you. Jack wrapped his arms over Lennies and hugged. Lennie let go and stood up, wincing, holding his side. Damn this thing Jack stood up and reached out to help his friend. Come on. Couch is more comfortable. They settled back as they had been earlier, but not before Jack eased Lennie out of his shirt. Lennie sighed. And just when I was thinking about getting interested Jack kissed his cheek. No need to rush things, Lennie. His hands gently floated over Lennies skin. The warmth of their naked torsos pressed together felt amazingly good. I know, but it must be driving you nuts. Dont worry about me. Ill take care of it when I go home. He grinned. With your help again, Im sure. Lennie just sat quietly for a few minutes before speaking. I was kind of hoping you wouldnt go home tonight Oh! Jack really hadnt been expecting that. In fact, I had an idea When he didnt continue, Jack prompted him. What idea? Finally, Lennie spit it out. Id really love to watch you jerk off, Jack. I want to see you. All of you. Ive been dreaming about this for so long. I know it sounds weird Its not something I would have normally thought of Jack smiled as he warmed to the idea. But now that you mention it, that could work. Really? Well, youll have to help get things going Lennie sat up and turned to face him. Like this? He leaned in and kissed Jack, tenderly at first, but becoming more and more passionate. He let his fingers find Jacks nipples, tweaking them while his kisses continued. Finally one hand slipped further south, stroking slowly as Jack moaned into his mouth. Lennie could feel his body starting to respond at last, heart racing, and the beginnings of other responses. Not just yet, but soon, hed be able to do at least SOME of the things he wanted to do. For tonight, this was enough. He let go of Jack and stood up. Enough? Jack laughed and joined him. More than. Lennie took his hand and led him back to his bedroom. A smallish double bed, two nightstands, a couple of dressers, all in dark wood. Curtains and bedspread were a chocolate brown/blue geometric pattern. A tiny ancient TV was parked on the dresser directly opposite the bed with an antenna pointing toward the one window. A laundry hamper sat under the window. Lennie sat down on the edge of the bed and pulled Jack toward him. Jack bent down to kiss him as Lennies hands opened his belt and unzipped his jeans. He pulled the heavy cotton down, leaving Jack wearing just his boxers. // so close! // Lennie thought for a moment about just diving in, pulling Jack into his mouth, but realized he wanted it to be better than this. No, better to wait until he could do it right. Instead, he just leaned forward and gently kissed the stiff dick through the underwear. On your own, now. I want to watch. He squirmed up to the head of the bed, propping himself up on the pillows. At the last minute, he decided the jeans were a bit confining, so he stripped down to his shorts. Jack looked a little nervous, but he kicked his shoes off, stepped out of the jeans and sat down, laying back across the foot of the bed, caressing himself through his underwear. Lennie watched, entranced by the expressions that chased rapidly across Jacks face as he played with himself. He took a long time just teasing himself through the cotton. At one point his eyes opened and he looked right at Lennie, smiling. The eyes closed again as another long stroke drew a moan from deep inside. Finally, he couldnt take any more and squirmed out of the boxers. Lennie sighed as he first saw Jacks dick. Easily 7 inches long, nice and thick. Not a monster, just perfect. Lennie definitely felt something in his own shorts trying to match it. // soon, Lennie, soon // He watched eagerly to see how Jack grasped it, what he did when taking his own pleasure. Jack really wanted this to last as long as possible. Both to give Lennie a good show and so hed be so spent he could make it through the night. Every once in a while hed open his eyes and glance over at Lennie. Seeing him there watching was turning Jack on pretty powerfully. He could feel himself getting close, so he intentionally slowed down. He actually let go for a moment and reached out to lay his hand on Lennies ankle, letting his fingers trace over the bones for a little while before returning to their main focus. After about half an hour, he just couldnt hold out any longer. Lennie saw the moment he went from teasing to serious, abandoning himself to the pleasure. He watched with delight as a powerful orgasm wracked Jacks body, his come shooting halfway up his chest, a strangled cry wrung from his throat. Lennie gingerly crawled over to sit by Jack, not wanting to risk any pain from the healing wound he was feeling MUCH too good right now to have a brief moment of pain ruin it. That was beautiful, Jack. Absolutely beautiful. For several minutes they stayed there, Jack catching his breath, Lennie beaming down at him, holding his hand. When he could finally speak, Jack laughed. I think Im set for a while, Lennie. Man, that was good. Lennie caressed his face. Yeah it was. Lennie got up. Let me go get something to clean this up with. Jack was perfectly happy to lay there until Lennie returned with a damp cloth. He cleaned up the mess and finally sat up. Lennie? Yeah? He reached out and tugged at Lennies shorts. Youre overdressed. Lennie blushed. Not much to see there yet, Jack. Although in truth, this little show had gotten a partial response he wasnt sure he wanted Jack to see. Dont care. I want to see you. Not taking no for an answer, he slid the soft cotton down over Lennies hips. Lennie stood there, half hard, as Jacks eyes drank him in. A trembling hand reached out to touch him. The contact was like a current running through his body. He couldnt help the sharp gasp it triggered. Followed by a small cry of pain, as his ribs protested that sharp breath, and the wonderful feelings vanished almost immediately. Jack stared at him, terrified that he had hurt him. Lennie? Did I do something wrong? No. Oh god, no, Jack. He sank down on the bed next to his friend. Its the damned ribs. It felt so good, but when I took that sharp breath He shook his head sadly. Jacks arm gently slipped around his waist. Its OK, Lennie. I guess youre not ready yet after all. It doesnt matter. Tell you the truth, Im kind of glad. Not sure if I was ready yet. Lennie leaned heavily against him, his emotions a jumble. The almost euphoric high had been suddenly replaced by pain and embarrassment. I want it, Jack. You dont know how much I want this I know, Lennie. Dont worry about it, ok? Jacks hand rested on his back, warm and comforting. Look, its 8 oclock. Lunch was a long time ago. You want to order a pizza or something? That got a small smile. Youve already figured out that the way to my heart is through my stomach? Jack laughed. It seemed a safe bet. Jack let go and stood up, retrieving his shorts from the side of the bed where hed tossed them earlier. He left it at that, and retrieved Lennies as well, then offered him a hand up from the bed. Once standing, Lennie pulled him close for a moment. Thanks, Jack. They spent the rest of the evening on the couch, watching TV, eating a pizza, and just relaxing together. After a while, Jack noticed Lennie nodding off again. He nudged him. OK, you, bedtime. Lennie looked at him. So you staying? He couldnt quite keep the fear out of his voice. Jack smiled. Of course I am. They shut off the lights and went back to the bedroom. Jack was surprised by suddenly feeling nervous. It wasnt like anything was going to happen, but there was something serious about spending the night in somebody elses bed. He had figured hed be the one to hold Lennie, but with the chest wound it turned out they were most comfortable with Jack on his back and Lennie laying on his right side, his left arm resting gently over Jacks chest. Finally settled in with the lights out, Lennie sighed and squeezed him. Thank you. Jack gently kissed his cheek. Did you really think Id leave? I dont know. I dont want to push you Another kiss. Im exactly where I want to be, Lennie. Now get some sleep. Lennie sighed and snuggled into Jacks shoulder.
