| Faith: Chapter 3 |
| Lennie has a "personal assistant" for the day, which leads to all kinds of kinky fun . . . |
| Jack was amazed at how quickly Tuesday passed. He had actually slept in, a luxury he rarely indulged in. He wasnt sure how Lennie had gotten out of the apartment without waking him. He was surprised at the fact that he wasnt stressing over his work situation. Maybe some of Lennies advice was starting to sink in. He knew Lennie had invented that list of errands just to keep him occupied today, and he was grateful. There was still coffee in the pot, so he poured himself a cup and settled down to read the morning paper. Eventually he showered and dressed, heading out to run Lennies errands. //Personal Assistant my ass! // he chuckled to himself. He went to the store where he had gotten his cell phone. They had these new family plans where you could add a second phone to your account with shared minutes. That seemed the best option. He chose a very simple phone for Lennie, with pre-programmed quick dial just by pressing a single number on the keypad, got it activated, and took it over to the park to program. He set up his own cell on 1, his office on 2, Abbies cell on 3, and the precinct main number on 4. That should do for a start. It was getting close to lunchtime, so he headed over to the precinct to deliver the phone and maybe take Lennie to lunch. He felt the stares as he walked through the squad room. By now, news of his suspension had found its way into the rumor mill, on top of the gossip about him and Lennie. // Theres just no damned way to keep a secret in a building full of detectives, is there? // he wondered. He ignored it as he headed towards Lennies desk. Lennie was sifting through a pile of papers trying to find something when he heard Jacks cheery Hey, you! If the rumor mill was expecting confirmation, they were bound for disappointment. Jack just wasnt prone to PDAs Public Displays of Affection, having had too many discreet relationships to be comfortable with them. Lennie, however, was becoming something of the exhibitionist. He toyed with the idea of grabbing Jack and kissing him just for the shock value, but decided against it. Instead, he just looked up and grinned, knowing Jack was waiting to see what sort of stunt hed pull. Hey, yourself. You got something for me? He could see Jack relax as he realized that there would be no scene. Here you go. One brand new, shiny cell phone. That got Eds attention. Youre kidding, right? Old Spice with a cell? The world is ending! Lennie just smirked at him. Ha, ha. Very funny, Ed. Keep that up and I wont give you the number! Jack perched on the corner of Lennies desk and enjoyed the banter between the partners. So, you got some time to get some lunch? Ill show you how to use it. The opening was just too good for Lennie to resist. He raised an eyebrow at Jack and kept his voice low, grinning. Youll show me yours if I show you mine? Jack actually felt himself blushing. He should have known Lennie couldnt leave a line like that alone. Luckily, Ed was the only other person to hear them. OK, you two, outa here before I hear something I dont wanna hear! Lennie laughed as they headed out of the room. He knew people were looking, and he truly didnt care. It was a beautiful spring day so they walked a couple of blocks to a little caf with outside seating. They were early enough to actually get a table in the sun. After they ordered, Jack showed Lennie how to use the phone, pointing out the speed dial numbers he had programmed, and showing him where to find the number of the phone. Oh, yeah, before I forget . . . Lennie looked at him curiously then laughed as Jack dug his own phone out and proceeded to program Lennies new number into it. That would be the whole point of this exercise, Lennie smirked. Yeah, otherwise how am I going to know the number to give it to Abbie? Just so you dont give it to Van Buren. This is NOT for work. The phone matter finally settled, Lennie had some good news. IAB grilled me this morning and they said I shouldnt have any problems about losing the gun. So I should be back to full duty any day now. Oh, good. At least one of us can get back to normal. Lennie reached out and took his hand. Jack, its going to be OK. Nora wont fire you. Youve been there forever that office wouldnt function without you! I figure shes just taking her time coming up with a really creative punishment. And this is supposed to comfort me? Considering the alternative? Jack sighed. They finished their lunch, chatting about baseball and other non-work topics, just enjoying each others company. Walking back to the precinct, Lennie reached out and took his hand. At Jacks raised eyebrow, Lennie shrugged. No reason to hide it anymore, Jack. Im not saying we act like a couple of teenagers, but I love you and I dont care if the whole world knows. Jack blushed, suddenly feeling very much like a teenager. Lennie, youre incorrigible! Back at the station, Lennie walked Jack back to the parking area where he had stashed the bike, stopping him for a quick kiss before letting him put on his helmet. Call me when you get through the maze at the DMV! Jack gave him a thumbs up and took off down the street. Before heading back into the station, Lennie tried the cell. He dialed Reys number. Curtis. Rey, hey, its me, Lennie. Look, I know I surprised you yesterday, but I was hoping maybe we could talk? Rey felt sick. He still couldnt believe what Lennie had told him yesterday. It was as if he had lost his best friend. Just when he needed a friend most. Lennie, I cant talk now. I just cant deal with this on top of everything else. Just leave me alone, OK? Lennies heart sank. He didnt want to add to Reys problems. Yeah, I hear you. But please, Rey, someday when you can deal with it, call me. Please? Rey heard the pleading in Lennies voice. // Could I be wrong? This is Lennie. Hes a good man, I know it. Ive seen it. // Yeah, Lennie. I promise. He hung up before Lennie could respond. Just what he needed more doubts. The past years had been hard, watching his beautiful Debra waste away. He had always drawn strength from his faith, but lately it had been hard to ignore the questions. If God was so merciful, why was He doing this to Debra? Did it mean she somehow deserved it? Rey couldnt believe that. But he also couldnt believe that the God he worshipped could allow this if she didnt. He wasnt sure what to believe anymore. And now Lennie. The church said homosexuality was wrong. That anybody who chose that path was at best misled, at worst evil. No way Lennie was evil. That much he was sure of. Could this all be McCoys doing? Rey remembered his conversation with the EADA when Lennies daughter had been killed. He knew Jack really cared about Lennie. The phone rang again, and he shook his head he just didnt have the bandwidth to deal with this now. Jack got to the DMV office, parked the bike and headed in. They had instituted a new system recently where you stood in line to get a number, then at least you got to sit for the next hour or so before they actually called your number. He picked up the paperwork with the number and grabbed a seat towards the back of the large waiting area. He looked at the announcement board they were currently on number 650. It was 1:30 now, so that meant they were doing about 100 tickets an hour. Busy place! His number was 780, so he figured about an hour and a half wait. He decided to call Lennie to give him the estimate, and also to give him a chance to figure out how to answer the phone. He dug his phone out and saw that he had missed a call from Abbie. He suddenly remembered that after dropping them off Friday afternoon, she had flown home to Texas for the weekend for a family wedding. She had taken Monday off, so probably found out about this mess sometime this morning. She was going to be mad at him for not calling her himself. He skipped the voice mail message and called her directly. Hey, Abbie, its me, Jack. Oh, thank god! I got in this morning and you werent here and nobody would talk about it. Nora was in a meeting all morning, I finally pinned her down about an hour ago. Jack, are you all right? He could hear the concern in her voice. Its OK, Abbie. Really. I deserve whatever she decides. I really lost it last week. No, Jack, . . . Its fine. But I would like to talk to you. Im down at DMV, holding Lennies place in line to replace his license. Should be done here in about an hour and a half. Do you think you could break free for a bit later this afternoon? Of course. Meet in the park across the street? Great. Ill call you when I leave here. He then punched his preset for Lennies new cell. It rang a long time before he finally heard Lennies confused-sounding Hello? He couldnt help laughing. Its just me, Lennie. Figured youd need a trial run on actually answering that thing! Lennie grumbled You could have showed me that at lunch! Yeah, but this was more fun. Look, its going to be about another hour and a half, so why dont you plan on getting here around 2:45 to be safe? OK. Thanks, Jack. I hate waiting in line over there - I really appreciate this. Oh, youll pay for this later, Lennie. I promise. Too bad Lennie couldnt see the evil grin . . . He hung up and started to plan exactly how Lennie could pay him back. It wasnt long before he was lost in a delicious fantasy. He was so engrossed that he didnt realize how much time had passed when he felt a hand on his shoulder and heard Lennies voice whisper in his ear Working out that payback, Jack? He almost jumped out of his skin. Shit, Lennie, did you have to sneak up on me like that? Lennie chuckled. Oh, with that enigmatic Mona Lisa smile on your face, I couldnt resist. Lennie had left his hand on Jacks shoulder; the contact on top of his fantasy had Jack so horny he almost couldnt stand it. He checked the announcement board their number was coming up next. // damn, have to wait until hes done. // Just then it switched and they called 780, so he gave Lennie the paperwork and the number slip, and settled back to wait. His eyes followed Lennie as he walked across the room to the indicated station. It was nice to watch his lover from a distance. His tall, lanky form had an unexpected grace to its movement. He smiled as he saw Lennie joking with the pretty girl who was helping him, secure in the knowledge that he had nothing to be jealous about. As Lennie turned around to face the camera, he caught Jack looking at him and smiled. Of course the camera caught the slightly goofy expression on his face; he was going to have to live with that photo for a while! Lennie stashed the new license in his pocket and headed back to where Jack was waiting with a very smug expression. Well, I guess Id better head back to work Oh, no you dont. I want my payment NOW! Jack grabbed his arm and steered him toward the restrooms. He had noticed that they had put in one of the new family bathrooms, a large room with a lockable door intended for parents with young children. Nobody noticed as they both slipped in. As soon as the door was locked behind them, Jack pinned Lennie up against the wall, kissing him hard, pressing close so that Lennie could feel his hard-on. Lennies arms quickly wrapped around him. Ive been fantasizing about this ever since I called you, he managed to say between kisses. Mmm, is that why you looked so ecstatic when I got here? Jack answered with a chuckle deep in his throat. Lennie felt himself responding quickly, and slid his hands down to cup Jacks ass, pulling him even closer. Oh, god, Lennie, I want you. Lennie pushed Jack across the room, backing him into the countertop-style sink. He slid his hands around to the front, quickly undoing Jacks belt and zipper, sliding his hands under the waistband of his briefs, and pushing the entire mess downward, then helped Jack jump up to sit on the counter. He slid his hands up under Jacks polo shirt as he bent to take the swollen cock into his mouth. Oh, god, Lennie, yes! YES! Jacks hands were laced into his hair, helping set the rhythm. It didnt take long before he felt the beginnings of Jacks climax followed by the rush of hot sticky liquid in his mouth. Jack gave one final convulsion of ecstasy then collapsed forward to lean his forehead against Lennies. Lennie smiled, his arms wrapped around Jacks waist, holding him as he caught his breath. Jack took Lennies face into his hands and kissed him gently. Mmmm, that was great. Lennie chuckled. So has my personal assistant been suitably paid? Oh, yes, paid quite well in fact. Lennie hugged him. Good, because Ive got to get back to work. Jack grinned, knowing that by now Lennie was as horny as he had been, but was playing along with the payment. Lennie kissed him again. See you tonight . . . // oh, yeah, youll get yours tonight, my love! // He watched as Lennie slipped out of the room, then quickly cleaned himself up, got dressed and made his own exit. Heading back to his car, Lennie smiled and shook his head. He was delighted that Jack had initiated their little liaison. // I think hes finally comfortable with this. // But now it was time for a more serious matter. Rather than going back to the precinct, he headed over to One Hogan Place. He had a meeting with the DA. Abbie got Jacks call and was just heading out to meet him when she noticed Lennie waiting outside Noras office. She wondered whose idea that was, then decided shed hear about it later. She found Jack sitting on a bench in the park across the street, looking more relaxed than shed seen him in weeks. And the expression on his face . . .OK, Ill bite. You look like the cat who just ate the canary. He laughed. Well, yeah, sort of. She sat down beside him. You dont look like somebody whos afraid of losing his job? She made it a question, and she could see his expression turn serious. Oddly enough, Im not. Yesterday, yes. Today, not really. Something Lennie said last night. How One day at a time isnt just an AA slogan, its a way of life. Its about letting go of things you cant do anything about. Ive never really been able to do that, but somehow today it clicked into place. And besides, I have a new job, at least for today. At Abbies questioning look, he replied, Im Lennies Personal Assistant. Thats why I was at DMV, and this morning he wanted me to get him a cell phone. Abbies eyebrows tried to climb off her face. Youve got to be kidding! No, Im serious. He finally found something important enough to put up with it for. What could be important enough for that? He hesitated Abbie was the first person hed told. He sighed. After yesterday, he wanted to make sure that I could always get ahold of him. Hes my AA Sponsor. He looked away, not wanting to meet her gaze. Jack. He felt her hand on his arm and looked back up at her. The compassion on her face touched him deeply. Its no shame to ask for help. That took a lot of courage. He nodded, smiling weakly. I wont take the chance of hurting him again like I did last week. And I know I put you through hell, too. Thank you for sticking by me. She smiled. Youre worth the effort, Jack. And I think Nora is realizing that too. I had a long talk with her earlier, and as I was leaving to come here, I saw Lennie going in to talk to her. He said he had to get back to work when he left the DMV! Some things are more important than solving the crime du jour. Jack shook his head. Abbie decided to take a chance to lighten things up. So Lennie met you at the DMV? Would that have anything to do with that canary-eating-cat expression? // Yup, hes actually blushing! // Jack laughed. Yeah, you caught me. I told him he owed me big for doing his time there, and when he finished, I made him pay. Abbie grinned at him. I can guess the currency. The blush got deeper, but he didnt seem upset. You know, I never thought Id have any use for those family bathrooms theyve been adding lately. She laughed. And you instigated this, not him? Jack bit his lip and nodded, looking for all the world like a shy little boy. // Every last one of them can do that, no matter how old they get. And we fall for it EVERY time! // Good for you! Its about time you loosened up! And unfortunately, also time for me to get back to work. Jack reached out and took her hands. Thanks, Abbie. For everything. He leaned forward and kissed her cheek. She smiled and got up, heading back to work. Meanwhile, Lennie was finally ushered into Nora Lewins office. Thanks for agreeing to see me, Miss Lewin. I know this has been a difficult situation, and Ill try not to take up too much of your time. Jack and Abbie dealt with the police; Nora rarely had any direct contact with them. She sat back in her chair, taking a good look at the lanky Detective. // So this was the man who had claimed Jacks heart? // It made no sense to her, but then, love often bypassed logic entirely. I presume youre here to defend Jack? Yes, maam. Theres something that I think you need to know before you make any decisions. Back when I first moved in with him three years ago, people started spreading rumors about us. I know Jack had a long talk with Adam Schiff about the possible repercussions in the courtroom. They decided it didnt matter whether or not we were lovers, the possible conflict of interest would come from our being friends and roommates just as easily. There are no policies specifically forbidding anything weve done. Mr. Schiff decided that wed deal with it when and if it ever happened. He didnt feel he had the right to dictate his employees living arrangements. I supposed maybe Jack should have spoken to you when you got here about the situation, but to us it had all been decided long ago. And then when things changed, when we fell in love, well, like I said, we had decided that part didnt matter as far as the job went, and Jack is only now getting comfortable talking about it. Nora was surprised; she had assumed they had been lovers all along. You mean this is a recent development? Lennie hesitated, not sure how much to say to Jacks boss. Since he was attacked last Thanksgiving. Oh. Several pieces of the puzzle clicked into place. And last week? Lennie sighed. I really dont want to get into the details, maam. Suffice to say he still had some unresolved issues with accepting our relationship and was struggling with them. I think were past that now; Im sure it wont happen again. Part of him wanted to tell her about Jacks joining AA, as proof that he was seeking help for his problems, but he knew that Jack needed to tell her himself as part of the healing process. So he held that one item back. For now. Nora sighed. Well, Ill say this. A lot of people put their faith in Jack McCoy. Miss Carmichael was in here after lunch arguing on his behalf. The same passion that makes him exceptional in the courtroom is sometimes his undoing in the office. I guess I have to take the bad with the good. Lennie had to agree with that he knew better than most just how passionate Jack could be! Does that mean youre not going to fire him? Nora smiled at Briscoes obvious affection. Yes, Detective, go home and tell him to come in to the office tomorrow. I need him here. Lennie sighed with relief. Thank you, Miss Lewin. You wont regret this. Jack stopped at the store on the way home and picked up fixings for an Italian feast. By the time Lennie got home, the smell of tomato sauce and warm bread permeated the apartment. Lennie of course couldnt let a good line go to waste, so he had stopped and picked up a dozen red roses For my assistant since I missed secretaries day! Jack laughed and kissed him, putting the roses into a tall glass since there wasnt anything resembling a vase in the apartment. Before he could get dinner onto the table, Lennie caught his arm. Jack, theres something else. I talked to your boss this afternoon. She wants you back in the office tomorrow. Lennie finally let the smile shine through. Jack took a deep breath, feeling the world shift around him, then threw his arms around Lennie. Oh, thank god! Lennie held him, feeling the tension Jack hadnt even been aware of melting away. I told you to have faith, Jack. With me and Abbie double-teaming her, she didnt stand a chance. Jack pulled back to look into Lennies deep blue eyes. Thank you. Lennie gave him one last hug, then released him. Yeah, well how about showing those thanks with some food? They lingered at the table for a while after dinner, too full to contemplate moving. Under the kitchen table, Lennie's leg was pressed tight against Jacks. Their little bathroom stunt had left him horny as hell all afternoon, and he had an idea for making the evening interesting. "You know, Jack, just because you get to be a DA again tomorrow, you are still my personal assistant for today. And the day isn't over yet." His eyes sparkled with laughter. Is there some personal service I can perform for you? Jack grinned, anticipating. Not you, Jack. No, the assistant I want is about 20 years old, and will do anything to kiss my ass. Lennies raised eyebrow asked the question, and Jack decided to play along, dropping into role of the eager subservient flunky. "Is there some other service I can perform for you, Mr. Leonard, Sir?" // Sir?!!! This is going to be fun! // "Yes, well, now that you mention it - Johnny, was it?" John was his father's name; he had always hated it. There was one other childhood nickname . . . "Uh, JJ if you please, sir." Leonard nodded. "Yes, JJ, that's right. Come with me." Leonard stood and strode briskly down the hall to his bedroom, JJ hanging back a pace behind. He stood in front of the closet. "Well, don't just stand there, young man. Undress me!" Jack hastily stepped in front of him, hands fumbling at untying the necktie backwards, then nervously unbuttoning the shirt. Leonard tossed them aside, nodding at his assistant to continue. JJ unbuckled his belt and unzipped the pants, allowing his fingers to trace along the hardness beneath. Leonard noticed. "Something there of interest to you, JJ?" "Uh, no sir." "Bullshit, boy. Don't lie to me." He looked at his assistant, raised an eyebrow. "How old are you, son?" "22, sir. Just graduated college. This is my first job, sir." "Perhaps there is another service you can do for me after all, JJ." JJ didn't dare hope his boss would give him this chance. He hurried to finish his current task, helping Mr. Leonard out of the pants, hanging them back in the closet. The older man stood there in t-shirt and boxers, waiting for his attention. As JJ returned, he stripped off the t-shirt, tossing it aside. "Come here, boy. You know you want it." JJ eagerly slid the boxers off Leonard's hips, revealing the object of his desire. "On your knees, boy," Leonard commanded. JJ happily complied, reaching out to tentatively caress the rigid cock. "Come on, son. You know what to do." JJ took a deep breath and began tracing his tongue along the length of the shaft. Leonard moaned softly at the contact. "More, JJ. More." JJ couldn't say no to his boss. He slipped his lips over the top, taking it into his mouth. "That's it, boy. Now suck it." JJ began sucking and swirling his tongue around as he gradually took the whole length of it into his mouth. He rocked back and forth, creating a thrusting motion. Leonard sighed, "Oh, yeah, that's it. You're good, JJ." JJ let go for just a moment, to breathe and to answer "Thank you, sir!" But before he could start again, Leonard's hands caught his and helped him to stand. "Tell, me, JJ, are you enjoying this?" "Oh, yes sir!" "You'd better not be lying to me, son." He grabbed at JJ's crotch, which thankfully was as engorged as his own. "Good. Get naked, boy." JJ hurriedly tossed aside his clothes as Leonard sized him up. "Nice ass, boy." JJ grinned. "Yes, sir. Would that be your pleasure tonight, sir?" "Yes, I believe so. There's lube in that drawer." JJ hurried to retrieve it and eagerly applied it to Leonard's throbbing cock. "Bend over, son." JJ assumed the position as Leonard applied the lube to his exposed hole. Feeling the head pressed against him sent a surge of excitement through his body. He took a deep breath and just barely nodded his readiness. Leonard pushed in and just held there for a moment, letting him adjust. He caught his breath. "May I have more, sir?" "Be careful what you ask for, son!" JJ couldn't suppress his cry as Leonard plunged the rest of his shaft into the young man's tight ass. Leonard held onto his hips, pounding him relentlessly with a resounding smacking sound each thrust. JJ reached toward his cock, intending to jerk off so that they would come together. But Leonard had other ideas. "Not yet, boy. Keep both hands on the bed." "Yes, sir." Finally, Leonard's hot cum exploded deep within him and the older man backed away. JJ was still leaning against the bed, breathing heavily when his boss returned from the bathroom and spread a towel onto the bed. "Relax, boy, get comfortable." JJ wondered where this was going. He had been so close to coming, just the slightest touch on his cock would have done it, but Leonard had forbidden it. He sat on the bed, leaned back against the pillows that were suddenly propped behind him. Leonard moved to the foot of the bed and sat, watching him. "Tell, me, son, do you have a lover?" JJ smiled and nodded. "What's his name?" "Lennie." "Well, JJ, I want you to think of Lennie. I want to watch you finish yourself off. Can you do that for me?" "Oh, YES sir!" He closed his eyes as he wrapped his hand around his cock. Lennie watched, entranced, as Jack pleasured himself. He started slow, a soft moan escaping his lips, but rapidly picked up speed. His breathing became shallow as the pleasure increased. Jack got so lost in the fantasy, he didn't realize he moaned aloud, "Oh, Lennie!" It was more than Lennie could take; he stood and moved to the head of the bed, nuzzling Jack's neck and wrapping his arms around his lover. "Lennie!" Jack cried out as the spasms wracked his body. Lennie held him close. "I'm here, Jack. Right here." It was several minutes before Jack had recovered enough to speak. "Oh, god, Lennie, that was intense!" Lennie smiled and brushed the hair out of Jack's eyes. "You're beautiful when you come, do you know that?" Jack looked away, not used to being called beautiful. Lennie touched his cheek. "You are." He leaned in for the kiss. Continue on to Chapter 4 Send me some feedback Back to the Story Index Discalimer: These characters belong to Dick Wolf and NBC.
