Our last morning packing the bikes it is hard to believe it is almost over. We went to a small caf in Northampton for breakfast. We were going to do a little more shopping but none of the stores opened until later..plus Andi and Gail didnt have anymore room on their bikes anyway!

It was a short ride home up Rt. 91 into Vermont and over to Keene, where we stopped for a final photo of the 4 of us before I had to break away from the group and head home a different route.
The ride home alone was bittersweet. I looked forward in anticipation of seeing Darlene, my home and all the animals I had been away from for 8 days.yet I was thinking back on the great time I had on the trip and did not want it to end.

In 8 days we had traveled 2416 miles total
.passed through 11 states (counting NH)
                           .met so many friendly people
                              saw so many beautiful views
                                 no rain, no mechanical problems
.  experienced laughter, fear, relaxation, exhaustion
                                       a journey shared
                                             . I will never forget.
