THIS POEM WAS WRITTEN BY A TRUE FRIEND OF REDDMAN'S
What Is A Heart
What is a heart? Is it music, or love?
A baby's cry,the flight of a dove?
What is a heart,where do I look?
It's not in the library,inside a book.
It's not in the garden,or in the stream..
so where do I find it? It's maybe a dream...
I've searched in the attic,under a tree,
in places forgotten,to all except me.
one thing I know,it's not easy to find,
but when I do find it,I've made up my mind,
I will keep it so close, that none can see..
that I found a heart inside of me!!

one shade the more, one ray the less,

had half impaired the nameless grace

which waves in every raven tress

or softly lightens over her face,

when thoughts serenely sweet express

how pure, how dear, their dwelling place.

and on the cheek and over that brow,

so soft, so calm, yet so eloquent

the smiles that win, the tints that glow,

but tell of days in goodness spent,

a mind at peace with all below,

a heart whose love is innocent

    just something to think of
