                                     ACROSS THE OCEAN

My home was built with a loving heart, the bombs they blew my world apart.
I come from across the oceans blue, to live a life being free like you.
I come where the skies are clear and sunny, to this great land of milk and honey.

I leave the pain and past behind, my families gone, no one in line.
You think IM strange, or I speak funny. You think IM hear to take your money.
You think IM just a crazy fool, why do you have to be so cruel.

No where to go, no one to see, I come to this land so Ill be free.
Now I have to take a pill, because the cows are sick and the bees they kill.
The fruit is altered, the crops are to, and I still want to spend my life with you.

Where ire you look youll never see the bombs that drop and you must flee.
The killing fields around us lies, the choking dust covers the skies.
Youll never see a deadly rain, or being shot at by a plane.
These things I tell you all are true, I wish to live in this Country too.

                                   FLOWING FIELDS

THE FLOWING FIELDS LIKE EBONY; THEYRE DARK AND BLACK AS COAL.
THE LIFELESS WAKE OF ASH AND SOOT; IS STARTING TO UNFOLD.
THE FIRE STARTED FROM CARELESSNESS, OR BY AN ACT OF GOD.
THE GRASS HAS GONE, THE BERRIES TOO, WHERE AIRE THE DEER HAVE TROD.

THE SMOKE IT BILLOWS FROM THE EARTH; IT LIES DEEP BENEATH THE GROUND.
THE PICKS AND SHOVELS HARD AT WORK, UNTIL THE SUN WENT DOWD.
THE STAIN OF SWEAT ON BITS OF CLOTH, FROM RAGGED WORKERS CAME.
THEY FINALY GOT THE UPPER HAND AND SLOWLY PUT OUT THE FLAME.

SOME TIME HAS PAST AND LIFE BEGINS TO FLOURISH IN THE LAND.
THE GENTLE RAIN HELPS GRASS TO GROW AND TREES TO TAKE A STAND.
OUR FEATHERD FRIENDS AND THOUS WITH FUR, OR CLAWLY LITTLE THINGS.
WELL ALL HAVE JOY AND PEACE OF MIND AND SEE THE LOVE IT BRINGS.
