The above essay was a biographical narrative. The prompt was to write a completely true story about someone who impacted my life. I decided to write about my older sister Van Nguyen.
This was one of my best essays this year. It was overall a strong essay which is proven by the fact that I met almost all of the requirements. I had an interesting introduction to my subject. I provided the necessary background information. My writing style was up to par with my grade level. All the things like that were criteria for evaluation that I fulfilled. The only weakness with this essay was my grammar. I�ve always had problems with grammar and this essay shows it. The grammar requirement is the only one that I did not fully meet. Something new that I used in this essay were anecdotes. Previously, all the other essays were very formal where no informal tools, such as anecdotes, were used. I learned, with this essay, how anecdotes make essays so much more interesting. I took pleasure in writing this essay.p>
