In the home level I desroyed 3 engines, 1
gearbox, 1 starter motor & 3 radiators.
I came 3rd in the championship. I was in
second place when I went into the last round, but during that race I
managed to destroy the engine. This cost me my 2nd place, meaning that I
came 3rd overall in 2002.
Racing at SEGTO was a disaster for
me.
Round 1 at Oxford I snapped a suspension ball joint in the 2nd race
which also pulled the driveshaft out. Unfortunately I did not have a spare
ball joint.
Round 2
was SAA, Horndean area.
I did not do to dadly, nothing
spectacular, but I did finish all 3 races.
Round 3 was at
Tongham
I blew the head gasket on the engine, in
the first race. That was the end of my racing that
day.
Round 4 was at Croydon, I did
not race at that meet.
Round 5
I turned in a very poor performance in
the 1st race. I did a bit better in the second race, atleast not everyone
lapped me. In the final race the track was damp. I happened to have the
right type of tyres fitted, I came across the line in 2nd place. The
winner got penalty for contact, so I was awarded 1st place.
In SEGTO I came either 4th or 5th,
I am not too sure as it was a trying year for me, what with the mechanical
problems and the fact that Emma was pregnant.
Well I am looking forward to the forthcoming season
of 2003. I have carried out a lot of work on my Peugeot 205, & a fair
bit to my Peugeot 309. By now you have probably realized that I favour
Peugeots. On a final note, I hope to do well in 2003 & would like to
thank all my friends and family for their support. Race
on.
