TRIBUTES TO BEN HOLLIOAKE
1977-2002
I am a 15 year old and a mad cricketer, as a teenager I pride myself on my manlyness and on the day of Ben's death I was reduced to tears like a baby. I watched Ben keenly and you have certain players that you want to do well and I think everyone had him in their mind when it came to that! He truly is a legend in my book and I am not at all ashamed of crying for such a great player and person!

Rob Ellis, Yorkshire
It was a great shame that Ben Hollioake had the chance to fulfil hos enormous potential taken away from him. It is a great shame for England and World cricket fans.

Ben, thank you for being you. I still can't believe you're gone, and that I'll never see your smile again. I remember how happy watching you at the Oval used to make me, and how I knew I liked cricket the first time I saw you. Ben you were really really special, and I've thanked God for making you, and also turned to him as he took you back. I'll never for get you and what you meant to me. xxxx

Laurie, London
Ben, I still can't believe you're gone, it has broken my heart. Thank you for being such a wonderful hero to me. May God be with you, your family, friends and fans. I will never forget you. Cricket won't ever be as sweet again.
