TRIBUTES TO BEN HOLLIOAKE
1977-2002

I'll never forget Gidders telling me to bowl at you from half pitch at full pace and to give you a real work out. I bowled bouncers and everything and the result was always the same....Smashed out of the nets. Your cricket talent pales in comparison to the great bloke you were.

Ben was a truly wonderful player, a compassionate human in which many believe in. I still can't take in the fact that he will no longer be there on the field! A couple of weeks ago I saw some highlights of him playing and was so saddened! I hope he has gone to a lovely place where he can rest peacefully! At the age of 23 its an unthinkable loss.
Lets hope his memory and cheery image lives on in us and we do not forget him!!

I will remember the short time we knew each other with a smile on my face and in my heart. You are truly one of the most amazing people I have ever met. I will never forget you but can't wait to see you again.... x

I have never seen Ben play, but this compassionate act of his has always lingered on my mind. Thank you Ben for showing what humans are capable of!

A couple of days late, I know, but it has been 5 years and we are still the sorrier for it. We miss you lighting up our fields either with your strokeplay or your smile and general enthusiasm. No-one else comes close. You live on in our memories. Thank you.
