The aliens from planet Bamu have come to earth peacefully and hoping for peaceful co-exsistance between the two races. The Bamu delegation, Rion, and earth delegation Professor Ryuuzaki meet each other to discuss a peace treaty. The negotiation is also attended by Bamu king and his family, his son Price Richter and daughter Princess Erika. But someone sabatoged the negotiation by poisoning King Bamu's drink. The king is killed by the poison, while Professor Ryuuzakji is shot by one of the Bamu. However, it appears to be Zrichter who shot Ryuuzaki. Before his death, Bamu king managed to tell Erika to continue the peace plan, but the rest of the Bamu delegation doesn't know this. After this tragedy, a war breaks out between the Bamu and Earth. The Bamu start to send a mecha fighter to terroize earth.
On earth, at a base called Guard Daimovic, Professor Ryuuzaki's son Kazuya is controling Daimos, a fighting robot to defend earth from Bamu's mecha fighter. This bas is actually a spaceship called Space Daimovic. Daimos itself is a big truck, called Tranzor. When Kazuya docks in it using his sportscar, Tripper 75S, Tranzor transforms into Daimos.
Richard Hartford (Ryuuzaki Kazuya)
He pilots the Daimos robot. His determination and skill in karate are invaluable in defending earth against the Brahmins. He is sensitive and his love for Erika has been both a source of strength and heartache throughout the conflict.
Erika
The Brahmin princess who captured Kazuya's heart. Unlike her brother, she believes peace is possible with the people of earth. She is also a medical doctor.
Ulrich (Richter/Rihiteru)
Erika's brother and commander of the Brahmin invasion force. His hatred of the earth people stems from his belief that their trechery caused his father's death. A proud Brahmin, Richter is determined to secure earth for his people. He could be rather harsh and unyielding in his resolve to accomplish this goal but only in the view that what he is doing is right.
Edward Kramer (Kyoshiro)
He pilots a fighter ship that provides assistance to Daimos during battles. Despite his casual attitude, he takes the war with the Brahmins seriously. He is also a master swordsman.
Joanna (Izumi Nana)
Professor Yergin's graddaughter. She could act like the kid she really is sometimes, but she can be depended upon to do her share in a battle. She usually joins Kyoshiro in his fighter ship.
Professor Yergin (Izumi Tadao/Hakase)
He is head of the Dynamo base. He also built the Daimos robot together with Richard's father. Moreover, he taught Richard himself the art of karate.
General Harris
He commands Earth's defense forces. He prejudice against the Brahmins and constant interference in the management of the Daimos has not earned him the repect of the people at the Dynamo base, particularly Kazuya.
Rowena (Marugarete/Maragaret)
She was Erika's nanny. She is very devoted to Erika and has always tried to help and protect her even it means putting herself in harm's way.
Laida/Laila (Raiza)
The beautiful and wily Brahmin general. She holds high regard for Ulrich and is loyal to him.
Zender (Barbas/Barubasu)
This big, baldheaded Brahmin also serves in the Brahmin invasion force as a general together with Laida.
Mildred/Bertha (Akane)
She is the resident cook and housekeeper at the Dynamo base. This stout woman has a tendency to be hysterical.
Rotor (Kairo-kun)
The little red robot.
Besides GoLion Voltron, I think that this one looks like the next best out of the batch of the "Voltron Series". It actually has a decent plot and it's interesting and different.
