| About Winged Silence was created on July 5th of 2005 by, me (Laurel Chaisson), a 14 year old girl with absolutly nothing to do. My sc-fi RPG, Indigo, completed and all the freezies devoured, I searched for other ways to entertain herself. During a deep spiritual meditation, the idea came to me: an RPG listing site! "EUREKA!" I screeched, knocking over several Yogis as I ran from the room screaming. Actually, they don't allow me in there any more... hmm, I wonder why... anyways, when I arrived in the office of my home, I plopped myself on the sticky hot chair and began my research. I needed to know a few things first, such as, what categories to use and what kind of sugar had poisoned my mind into thinking I could actually do this (I blame the giagantic freezies ^_^) The most important part of the creative process was the name. It took me a lot of brainstorming to come up with this. I drowned several poor brain cells... anyways, it began with watermelon. Yes, watermelon. I like it. But that just wasn't enough. So I tried adjectives like infinite, yogic, winged, silent... eventually it came down to: = Flying Monkey of Doom = Yogic Watermelon = Winged Silence Now, in the beginning it was going to be "Flying Monkey of Doom Directory and Awards" but I couldn't find any flying monkey images... so I scrapped that idea. I found that it was even harder to find watermelons doing Yoga... weird, eh? So I stuck with the last choice. The image was one I already had on my computer (from haibane renmei, a japanese anime with beautiful art and music), so I guess it was partly out of lazyiness that I chose W.S. But either way, WS was born that moment. Anyway, the important thing is... I made this because I was bored. No wait... oh... I made this because I love to help people! ^_^ yes, that's right... yeeeeeees.... |
