About  Us
We are a family just like any other, with a strong commitment to protect and provide for our children.  We've seen our community change through the years not for the better but for the worse.  With an increase in  crime, violence, and the lack of resources our American dream is slowly drifting away.  We had no voice - atleast we thought we didn't.  Who would hear our cries for change?  Who could give us hope?

When a violent tragedy ripped our lives we vowed to make a difference in the community.  In order to deal emotionally with our loss we felt we had to get involved.  Determined to make our voices heard Adela Barajas took control of the situation, she bundled up her grief, pain, and sadness and turned it into a bullet-proof heart of steel.  Adela promised we would never cry again.  Her efforts have led L.A.U.R.A through a great journey in search for Peace & Unity.
