October 30, 2000

Thanks to all the site visitors who so kindly inquired about
my health. I am getting caught up on my email and I am
feeling better, although I'm not 100% yet. However, there is
site news.
of the 7th season (Mars Attacks) but it will be brief,
because I am relying on a videotape of the ep with no sound
on it. I got a DVD player for my birthday last week and in
hooking it up, I accidentally disconnected the audio from the
VCR. Oops! So I have the episode on tape, but it's silent.
And I can't review an episode very well with everyone doing
everything in silence. However, I do have a lot to say about
the episodes, since I feel that Laura Innes played a crucial
role in many of the plotlines, so I will rely on my razor-sharp
memory and the review will be up by the end of this week.
to the Visitor Submissions page, and I've opened a new Screen
Capture Gallery (yes, another one!) -- this is #5. It
contains screen captures from 7th season episodes. So far,
the only caps are for the 2nd episode, Sand and Water (none
for Homecoming, the premiere, and so far none for the 3rd
episode, Mars Attacks -- yet -- but I'm working on it). There
are, however, 13 caps of Kerry Weaver at her best. Enjoy!

season premiere, Homecoming, has been added to the Photo
Gallery. I wouldn't call it a true spoiler photo, and to
be honest I've been looking for this picture for a while
now (I had the thumbnail but wanted to put a full size one
on the site so you all could see it).
few days may be minimal as I've been sick. I spent the evening
at my local ER and was informed that I have an ulcer (sigh).
So I am taking it easy for the next few days until the medication
that I was given starts to work. There's a big site update
planned, but I can't do it until I'm feeling a little better.
I estimate that to be around Saturday, so that is when you
can likely expect the next update. Of course, if I'm feeling
better before then, the site will be updated sooner, so keep
your eyes peeled.
October 23, 2000

access it from the main index page, and you'll find video
clips of Laura from interviews, and a few clips from the
fantastic season 4 season finale episode A Hole in the Heart.

to the Episode Reviews page. Secondly, this was found on the
E! Online Gossip column by Ted Casablanca, dated October 19
(the picture of Laura below, taken at the Emmy awards this
year, ran with the column):
scored--and deserved, might I add--NBC higher-ups have been
rubbing their three collective neurons together to add more
gay storylines to their shows. What they came up with is a
storyline on ER that will feature the hard-nosed Dr. Kerry
Weaver (played by Laura Innes) becoming involved with a woman
(played by the exquisite Elizabeth Mitchell, who recently
appeared in Nurse Betty). NBC is guarding the details. But
Mitchell has apparently landed a four-episode stint and will
begin filming sometime in November, meaning the shows won't
air until early next year. Hmmm. If you're thinking February
sweeps, you win a shiny stethoscope. (Where you put it is
your business.)"

and the viewers, overall, are giving it a huge thumbs up!
Laura had lots to do in Sand and Water; Kerry Weaver was
involved in almost all of the major plots at one point or
another. After a second viewing of the episode, I've come
to the conclusion that if this is how ER will be this season,
I am going to be one very happy viewer! The entire episode
Thursday night was truly fantastic. Kudos to the cast
and crew!
Gallery; it's from Julianna Margulies' farewell party. Enjoy!
Yes, you get to hear my opinion, in case you're interested.
The link for the reviews can be found on the main page.
Right now there's a review up for season 7, episode 2 (Sand
and Water); the review for the season premiere (Homecoming)
will be uploaded this weekend.

to find out that ER is filming there the weekend of the
27th, which happens to be my birthday...and I'll be here
instead! I knew I should have planned my trip out there a
little more carefully! Anyhow, with my return there has
been an update: two new photos have been added to the Visitor
Submissions Page. While I was away I had the chance to
look at this site on a few different computers and noticed
that the Screen Cap Galleries do take a very long time
to load due to the high number of images. So this week I
will be (yet again) reorganizing them into smaller
galleries to keep the loading time to a minimum if you
are using a slower connection speed. For now the galleries
will stay as they are; I'll update on this page when the
re-organization is complete.
Thursday was the season premiere. (**SPOILERS AHEAD!**)
As is the tradition with ER and premieres, it was filled
with lots of action -- and we got to see Warrior Kerry
brandishing her crutch as a weapon! Great work by Laura
in the episode, and I for one can't wait for this Thursday's
episode, Sand and Water. Feel free to put your comments
about Laura's performance in each week's episode in the
guestbook on the main page, if you feel so inclined.
October 13, 2000

It's just past 1am EST; West Coast folks should be seeing
ER right about now. Just wanted to drop a quick line to say
that there won't be any updates till Sunday; I'll be out of
town and will have no internet access. (Gotta get me a
laptop!!) Have a good weekend, everyone!
October 12, 2000

excitement! Tonight is the 7th season premiere. I've added
a lovely pic (above) which is a print ad for the episode
tonight. And, because today is the day so many of us have
been waiting for, I've added something special today: a
brand new screen capture gallery! You can access Screen Cap
Gallery #4 on the main index page (or on any of the other
screen cap pages), and it's loaded with 54 (fifty-four) caps
from seasons 4 through 6. Enjoy!
October 11, 2000

(season 6), all from the fantastic season finale, May Day.
Also added two great photos to the visitor submissions page:
one black and white shot, and my favorite Laura photo to
date - one of her directing, on the set of Be Still My Heart.
Also today, this site was listed in the fansites.com directory.
October 10, 2000

(season 6), both from the episode Leave it to Weaver.
Also added two new screen captures to Screen Cap Gallery #3,
one from Obstruction of Justice, and one from The Peace
of Wild Things.

from the webmistress (who is also in Canada). In between
basting the turkey, I've added five new screen captures to
Screen Cap Gallery #1 (season 6) -- two from The Peace of
Wild Things, and three from Viable Options. More will be
added tomorrow!

one with Jack Orman with some previews into season 7, and
one with some info and comments from Laura regarding George
Clooney's departure from ER from late 5th season. Also, I've

screen captures that they have been divided into three
separate galleries for faster loading (for those of you using
a slower internet connection). The breakdown is as follows:
Gallery #2: seasons 3-5 (high quality)
Gallery #3: seasons 2-6 (average quality)
and also from the individual screen cap gallery pages.

"Be Still My Heart" to the Interviews/Articles page.

Interviews/Articles page (one about her directing stint
on The West Wing and one about her character during the
sixth season of ER). Also, a new page has been added
(accessible from the main page) for visitor submissions.
These are harder to find pictures that visitors to the site
(like you!) have sent to the webmistress!

including one very interesting one in which Laura talks
about her directing debut, her character, and setting
rumors to rest about an on-set feud after Alex Kingston
and Eriq La Salle's onscreen relationship ended.

October 2, 2000

Also added a new photo to the main Gallery of Laura at a VQT
(Viewers for Quality Television) Conference in 1998. Talk
about luck -- I didn't think I would ever find pictures of
this event!
