My God, I’m leaving tomorrow! Today was very pleasant. I went to the bank and got $10 in Francs, at least I hope it’s $10 – I’m not sure about all of these different currencies.

After getting the money, I went for a walk to find the Arch de Trimpf – only a block from the bank. I guess that I took that round about way, as I ended up at Catalunya square! I hopped on the Metro (Line 1) and headed home.

I packed for my trip, putting side my shorts, swimsuit, and some books that I’m going to ship home. At 5:00 I went to Albert’s bar to meet with Maiol, Jeordi, Ferran, y Guillem. We sat around and drank beer until Maiol had to go to basketball practice and Ferran had to go pick up Rosa. That left just Guillem y Jeordi. We sat around comparing insults, until Jeordi made a remark about him and Guillem being the last boys without girlfriends. I asked why he didn’t have one. He answered "The girls all know what they’re missing out on." (I think that he meant to include "don’t" in that statement.)

Guillem, when I asked him the same question, answered "I like older women." Ah-ha! I thought – a kindred spirit. Then I asked how much older. He replied "22, 23, sometimes 24." He’s almost 20. Older women my foot!

By then, it was time for Albert to close the bar. We all left, including Albert, and went to another bar for a final beer – my type of life! I said good-bye to Jeordi y Guillem, and we came home.

Before I forget, the boys wrote messages for me to take home and tack onto my wall, so I will always think of them. I’m going to put the messages in the very front of this diary and pray that they don’t get lost. I’m already sure that I will treasure these messages from my Spanish men among the best souvenirs that I am bringing home.
