Hiking is definitely one of my favorite pastimes.  In S. Korea, there are hundreds of places to go, although, unfortunately, thousands of people have the same idea, and it can get a bit congested.  But once you make it to the top, it's all worth it.

Seoul, S. Korea, is among the top 5 largest cities in the world.  With the help of large companies such as Daewoo and Hyundai, Seoul has become a world competitor in technology and the automobile industry.  Raising the city from the ashes of the Korean War a mere 50 years ago.

The Land of the Morning Calm...South Korea.  I arrived in Seoul, South Korea on January 27th, 2000.  I wasn't sure what to expect, since all I've heard about this "hermit kingdom" has been based around the Korean War.
From day one, I felt comfortable and welcomed, into a country that doesn't see many tourists, and is very proud of it's ancestral heritage.
The country, people and culture have opened my eyes to the history and mystic of the Far East.
I am currently teaching English Conversation at Hoseo University to Korean Freshmen and Sophomore students.  Hoseo U. sits at the base of a beautiful mountain range, about an hours journey south from Seoul.
The job has been a blessing, in that it gives me plenty of time to pursue my hobbies and to travel, not only in Korea, but throughout Asia.
