The Mekong Delta ~
Emptying from the mighty Mekong River, the Delta splits off into numerous individual rivers that range in width from a few meters to a few hundred meters across. They all seem to be supporting life of one form or another, and each one that I was fortunate enough to have seen was absolutely unique and full of photo opportunites.

I traveled down the Delta for three days, using a number of different modes of transport, from small rowboats to larger, outboard touristy contraptions. Each giving me a different angle and feel to my Delta experience.
The Delta was teeming with boats of all sizes and shapes. Each operated by a local, busy going about their daily routines.
As we lumbered down the Mekong, the banks of the Delta were packed with metal shacks, house boats, wooden huts and tall tv antennas reaching up into the clear blue sky. Many of the houses had large, open windows that faced the water, exposing each family's daily business to anyone who cared to look. I felt as if I where tuning into different people's lives, one at a time, as we moved on down the river. It was truely a highlight of Vietnam.
