| The first two days I rented a motorbike and driver, for about six U.S. dollars a day. After getting a good idea of my bearings, I set off on the third day to see a few of my favorite spots and found a few new ones as well. You could spend a month touring this area and coming across a variety of ruins in all states of dis-repair. Here are a few assorted gates and monuments that are slowly being taken over by the jungle. |

| Of course, no matter how remote you could get, there would be someone, generally a cute little child, waiting to sell you a wooden bird, bamboo flute or the most popular: postcards. It was hard saying no, as tourism in this area is many of the families only source of income. |
