| March 17, 1945 St. Patrick's Day, football, and rugby tournaments arranged. Getting sick of sweating it out waiting for this war to end; fail to see why Jerry doesn't pack it in. March 18 - 29, 1945 Moved from 15S to 11S Jerry apparently getting all L7 personnel back together. Managed to get a middle bunk, much better than sleeping on the floor. Worse luck been put in charge of a section dishing out rations. Contents of American No. 10 Red Cross Package 1 tin Spam 1 tin M & V 1 tin Salmon or 1 or 2 tins Sardines 1 tin liver pate or peanut butter 1 tin margarine 1 tin coffee 1 tin Klim 1 box biscuits or cereal 1 chocolate bar, box of candies or cocoa 1 tin of cheese 1 tin of jam 1 package of prunes or raisins 100 cigarettes 1/2 lb. sugar 2 bars soap |
