The cottage is situated in La Serriere, a hamlet lying in a cul de sac - no passing traffic ! - about one mile from the village of La Sauvagere, which is 5 miles from the spa town of Bagnoles de l'Orne, 50 miles from Caen. The area can be reached within one and a half hours from the ferry port of Ouistreham The property comprises: Living room - with wood burning stove (20 feet x 20 feet) Dining Room (20 feet x 10 feet) Kitchen (9 feet x 9 feet) Mezzanine (20 feet x 10 feet) Double Bedroom (12 feet x 10 feet) Twin Bedroom (20 feet x 9 feet) Two single beds and z-bed on request Bathroom (downstairs) - bath with shower attachment The mezzaine and two bedrooms are reached by attractive wooden stairs leading from the lounge. A fully enclosed garden surrounded by a hedge, which gets the sun all day long. Garden furniture, barbeque and hammock available. The kitchen is equipped with gas hob, combination microwave/ oven/ grill, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Mountain Bikes for two adults and one child are available. Golf clubs The cottage is attractively furnished with traditional furniture. The cottage dates from the1750s is built from stone and has a wealth of traditional features, including massive oak beams and an enormous granite fireplace. It sleeps five comfortably. |
