This is a
great "little" restaurant located just
north of South Coast Plaza in the Toys r
Us parking lot. It has a sushi
bar that seats about 15 to 20 and inside
table/booth seating for approximately 10
couples. What I really like is that
they have outdoor seating at patio tables.
It a great lunch place for those breezy
Orange County afternoons. Lunch
specials start from $5.95 for curries,
udon, teriyaki bowls - served with rice.
Up at the $7.95 range you can get a boxed
lunch with the following: teriyaki chicken
& salmon, rice, steamed broccoli on a bed
of spicy bean sprouts (kimchee style), a
cobbette of corn, salad w/ginger dressing,
egg roll and tempura (yes, all of that).
Their sushi is very good. they
offer hand rolls, as well as tokyo style
(boxed/cut roll). Double servings of
sushi are around $3.50 each and hand rolls
cost $3.00 (spicy tuna is a must)
The staff is friendly and efficient on
the tea (cha) refills. Getting a
seat can be a problem if you are
particular and the wait is generally
around 10-15 minutes (30 at noon).
