A relative by blood to Rayne, Sali is a 'dhampir dilute' - only a quarter vampire. While she is not as physically strong and fast as a vampire or regular dhampir, she does not share their weakness to sunlight and water. Relying instead on her intelligence, Sali benefits from another gift of her human inheritance - pyrokinesis; the ability to create and control fire with her mind. Sali would make a valuable asset to the Brimstone Society, if only she was rid of two undesirable attributes:
dishonesty and a tendency to disappear when she is needed most.
