Larry and I became interested in Cocker Spaniels 10 yrs. ago when we purchased a black and white Cocker as a pet for our family. "Oreo" began our love of this beautiful breed.
We began showing in 1995 after spending 2 1/2 yrs. attending shows, studying pedigrees and reading everything we could get our hands on concerning the breed. Larry and I have seen a fair share of the health and genetic problems that plague our breed during the past 10 yrs. We have returned to the show ring after a 3+ yr. absence and now have our first Champion. Laran is a small hobby kennel. All our dogs are raised with the family and all members of the family are involved with their care. The dogs that we use for breeding purposes have had their hips cleared by OFA and have yearly eye exams. Our next litter will be a year or two in the future. Larry and I breed with careful consideration to health, conformation to the standard, soundness and temperament. We will offer pups to loving pet homes only on limited registration with a spay/neuter agreement. Larry and I are members of the American Spaniel Club and the Lone Star Cocker Specialty Club. I am on the Board of Directors of the Lone Star Cocker Specialty Club. Larry and I hope that you will find the information included on our site of use. We would be pleased to answer your questions regarding our breed and assist in any way we can with getting you in touch with a responsible breeder in your area. Thanks for stopping by to visit, we hope you enjoy your stay and come back often to see what we are up to. |
