With apperences in many television series or rarely-seen artistic films, he was had quite alot of practice in the art of drama. His more notable appearences were in such well received dramas as 'Moll Flanders' and 'Our Friends in the North' in which he played the charchter of Geordie. He has appeared in highly regarded films as 'Love is the Devil' alongside Derek Jacobi, and portrayed John Ballard in the Oscar-winning 'Elizabeth'.
