We all know for a fact that Saddam has been responsible for rape, murder, terrorist attacks, genocide, theft, and destruction in the middle east, especially Kuwait and Iraq. I personally know two Kuwaitis who were in Kuwait during the time of the occupation and have heard their experiences. The things that Saddam has done is already common knowledge to those who are educated about him so I will not go on about what he has done and why he needs to go.
I dont find the issue of the upcoming war in Iraq controversial, I find it necessary. The educated free world understands the importance of defending their people. What do France and Germany say about the war? Peace at any cost. Sound familiar? Peace at any cost and appeasment is what lead to the slaughter of more than 6 million jews, 25 million Russians, 30 million Germans, and millions more throughout the world. It is FEAR which causes so many people to give into evil like Hitler and Saddam, but it is fear that gives them power. We must not put our own security at risk and violate our own beliefs and morals to give into tyrants who, in the end, only want our destruction. How many innocent people are worth the already biased and hateful opinions that other nations already have of the United States? Is not one life more important than a few nations who, out of jealousy and ignorance , already hated this country to begin with? Since when do we put the interests of other countries over the lives of our own security and people? Tell me, how many lives will satisfy those who hate us? One? Three thousand? thirty thousand or three million? Do you think they care? Former President Clinton had several chances in which Bin Laden could have been apprehended, for example when Sudan offered to hand him over. He refused because it would anger people in the middle east (the people who already hate us) so Osama went free and six years later America woke up on September 11th when the innocent people of this country were cowardly and brutally attacked. In case you thought that appeasment only applied to the world war two generation, you are all witnesses to September 11 and thus everyone witnessed the effects of appeasment first hand. More than two thousand innocent people, men, women, and children, were murdered for the opinions of those who already wanted to see us dead because of the way we live and think. Was it worth it?
Everyone who still believes anything Saddam says after 13 years of constant lies and tactful deception is way beyond gullible. Whats the word, stupid? He wants you to believe he doesnt have weapons, just like he told our government that he wasnt going to invade Kuwait in August 1990. He wants people to think that he is innocent, he wants to divide us so that we fight against eachother instead of him, and the sad thing is that people are still letting themselves be manipulated by Saddam after 13 years!
I am glad that we have a government that will not be intimidated and decieved. I will not put the interests of other nations before the lives of the people I love. I will have fortitude and never give in to the threats of those who want to see me and those I love dead. So many people do not understand the mindset of the enemy, their agendas, or what they are planning on doing. We must not fear, we need to stand together united as one people with one purpouse. Evil needs to go. Saddam needs to go because I wont wait until the bodycount reaches up to the millions to act. By the time the world decided to do something about Hitler the only ones left to oppose him were the British. What do those people do when they fear evil? They give into it. When we give into evil its the innocent who die, not just the ones fighting the war. It is the wives, children, friends, and family of those who sacrifice their lives to protect their way of life and his fellow man. We gave into Hitler and I pray that we will stand steadfast and have the courage to uphold our integrity and beliefs. It amazes me that people fail to learn from the lessons of history. Enough people have already died because of their desire for peace with evil.
I pray to God that history will not repeat itself and that we will not have to suffer the same consequences as those before us more than 60 years ago. I fight so that people like you can sleep at night and go about your day. If it wasnt for people who made so many sacrifices there would be no schools, no english language, no democracy, no freedom of speech, social security, equal opportunity, or civil rights. We must fight this war and we do not have a choice. Freedom will survive and I am dedicated to ensuring that we will not live in a world of terror. Do not be decieved. Fear no evil.
