My father suggested that it is best for the wedding to happen at the beginning of the year.  Robert was the one who chose the date and everyone agreed with it.  January 22, 2000 was our scheduled wedding day.  Immediately, we took the necessary steps to prepare for the wedding like applying for marriage license, attending seminars regarding family planning, canvassing for video coverage, souvenirs, invitations, etc., looking for a church near the reception and the reception itself.  That’s the hardest part – where to hold the reception.  It’s so tough to decide since we have a certain budget to consider.  But we managed to work that out and reserved January 22, 2000 at Shangri-La Finest Chinese Cuisine.  Since we already have a place for the reception, the next thing to look for is the church.  We scouted for churches near the restaurant and came upon Immaculate Conception Parish which is about 10-15 minutes away from Shangri-La.  We reserved the church at once so as to get the ideal scheduled mass.  We also reserved a hotel, Hotel Rembrandt, which was the most accessible to both the church and reception.

Robert is in charge of searching for the video coverage and flowers while I handled the other things like my wedding gown and for the entourage, the ring, souvenirs and invitations.  We had a difficult time agreeing on who to invite since we want to make our wedding a simple and intimate affair.  We only chose our relatives and our closest friends.

I never thought that preparing for a wedding would be a very tiring and nerve wrecking task.  Nevertheless, we accomplished all what has to be done. 

Everything was all set and we were just waiting for January 22, 2000 to approach.
