Activities in Pacific Harbour

 

 

Pacific Harbour is a mecca for the outdoor enthusiast. There is world-class SCUBA diving and game fishing in Beqa Lagoon, and world-renowned surfing at Frigate's Passage. With superb golfing less than a mile away at a Robert Trent Jones Jr.-designed golf course, adventure in paradise abounds. The region is aptly referred to as "The Adventure Capital Of Fiji".

We will organize group activities or you can venture on your own. Here are some of the possibilities...

· Scuba Diving ·

Divers will discover an underwater paradise at Beqa Lagoon. Adjacent to Pacific Harbour, Beqa Lagoon is regarded as one of the greatest displays of soft corals and sea fans in the world. In fact, Fiji is called the " Soft Coral Capital of the World. " There is also an amazing Shark Dive, where you can get up and personal with those loving creatures.

· Snorkeling ·

Beautiful soft corals and colorful fish can be seen throughout the area. Snorkeling in Fiji is outstanding. Crystal clear waters afford 80+ feet of visibility.

· Surfing ·

Frigate's Passage, a world-renowned surf-break which is very similar to Cloudbreak at the Tavarua Resort, is a short boat ride away.

· Windsurfing ·

The 1994 World Championships were held in Pacific Harbour.

· Kite Surfing ·

There is great kitesurfing off the coast of Pacific Harbour.

· Game Fishing ·

The Ca' Bella International Game Fishing Tournament, the South Pacific' s top tournament, is held each year in the fishing grounds directly offshore from Pacific Harbour. These bountiful waters hold trophy wahoo, mahi mahi, tuna, and billfish.

· Kayaking ·

Enjoy a leisurely kayak ride along the beach or through the canal system that meanders around the golf course and into the mangroves.

 

· River Rafting ·

River rafting and kayaking are offered on the Navua and Luva rivers -- known as "The Grand Canyon of Fiji." Tours are challenging and the scenery is breathtakingly beautiful.

· Trekking ·

Hiking trails to waterfalls and through the rainforest are nearby.

· The Pearl South Pacific ·

The local resort has has a pool, spa services, restaurants and bars.

· Shopping & Cultural Events ·

A minute down the road is the Pacific Harbour Cultural Center and Marketplace. This small quaint shopping area has restaurants, clothing stores, souvenir shops, jewelry stores and a grocery store.

· Golf ·

A challenging Robert Trent Jones Jr.-designed 18-hole golf course is less than one mile away

The adjoining Fijian Cultural Center has a museum, International school, and small Fijian villages. They also offer guided tours.   Visitors witness traditional Fijian dancing and singing, and experience Kava, the national drink, among other exciting activities.  

Suva, the capital city, offers excellent shopping. Just 45 minutes from Pacific Harbour, you will find anything and everything you desire.
