| From 25-27 April, the Philippine Sports Commission held the Differerently-abled (disabled) Games for Region VIII (Leyte and Samar) in Tacloban City. I attended with the Carigara group of athletes. The athletes were able to learn and compete in track and field and swimming events. It was an honor for me to run the 100 M dash as a guide for Wilson, from Eastern Samar. He was quick and it was a challenge to keep up. I hope he will be able to train and do well in the competition for the Visayas. Doing well can mean a nice training site in Manila as well as a stipend. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
