| Well, let's start with Thank You's! Thank you to Melissa, for helping so much. We have been delighted with the rabbits that we have purchased from you and appreciate all the help you've been when those questions arise! Thank you to my mother, Rebecca, for keeping an eye out for those extra cages and for your support in our Rabbit Project and other ideas we come up with! Thank You to my dear friend Lynn, who proof reads everything for me so I don't sound like an idiot! And finally, Thank You to my husband. You've been very supportive in this project. You've paid for all our rabbits, built the hutches, built the roof for the rabbitry, run out to buy needed rabbit supplies, and the list goes on! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| As for the news... Last night we bred BlackJack to Tiar in hopes that it takes this time! I think that we will get some beautiful babies from these two. I am wanting to bred Mocha again sometime this month. She had a beautiful litter in April that we lost. To read more about this click here. As for my son's rabbit Maple... well she has made me want another. She is so cute! He is going to show her with 4H. He is starting that this summer. He was going to start last year but with sports and so on, we didn't get him signed up. I planned to be farther along by now in our rabbit project but I was not looking at the big picture when I made those plans! We are still in the middle of remodeling our house, painting the outside, building a playground for the kids, so forth and so on...all of this has taken so much longer that I would have ever expected! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Short term Goals for our Rabbitry... Get the paper work sent in for 4H! Send off the form to register our rabbitry with the ARBA. (We already have a family membership with the ARBA.) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The News for this Month... Well, we do not have much bunny news for this month. We are hoping for a litter from both Mocha and Tiar sometime before the summer is over! I am considering breeding both next week. We did get our front yard put together and we've started painting the outside of our home! Very exciting to see it all finally coming together. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Oh boy, Has this month gone by fast! We have had company come and go. Busy, busy. I did get the frame to the new rabbitry built! (Just need to get the rest done...oh hummm...) Also, I did breed Tiar to BlackJack.. She is due on the 26th. She's acting ready, so we are crossing our fingers for a healthy litter! I can't believe summer break is coming to to an end...time just gets away from us... Best wishes to all. Hope you had an wonderful summer! |
