| PEANUT BUTTER CORNFLAKE COOKIES |
| 72, 1 1/2" X 2" SQUARES FOR FULL RECIPE |
| (Full Recipe) 3 cups sugar 1 1/2 cups dark Karo Syrup 3 cups peanut butter 15 cups cornflakes (12oz.) (Half Recipe) 1 1/2 cups sugar 3/4 cups dark Karo Syrup 1 1/2 cups peanut butter 7 1/2 cups cornflakes |
| Combine sugar and syrup in saucepan. Set on hot flame and let mixture slightly boil up once stirring all the while. Remove from fire and add warm peanut butter and cornflakes. Mix well, working quickly. Put mixture into greased 12" X 20" X 2 1/2" pan. Press down, cut into squrares while still warm. Store immediately in a covered container. |
| These are great cookies. We had these at school when I was a child. My mother was a cook at the school and the cooks made these for our lunches. That was a very long time ago when the schools actually had cooks that cook everything we ate. Now those were the days! |
