For some reason, I was inspired to bring out all my essays (and create a new one) about greatness and humility.
The three essays with a religious flavor end up coming back to the theme of obedience as a way of reconciling the difference between greatness and humility.
The essay in Shades of Grey entitled The Conferment of Laurel Wreaths in Philippine Society is the newest essay written especially for this website. It argues that greatness is socially bestowed.
Not Many But Much is the essay on Greatness and Humility that hits closest to home for me, largely because I wrote that to make sense of my own experiences while the other essays were written for other people.
Two essays have nothing to do with humility or greatness.
The essay found in Father Goose's nursery on Asian Identities continues the theme of constructed realities found in the non-religious essay.
And I continue the series on my name, this time talking about The Consequences of Being Dela Cruz in Still Waters.
Happy (Chinese and Roman) New Year to everyone!
