My entry to Assembly2k pixeled graphics competition. It got the third place. Results of all competitions of Assembly2k are available at Orange Juice.

The picture was drawn in 12-13 hours with Photoshop and a Wacom tablet, plus the one hour I used for making some sketches with pencil and paper. The bird is purely a result of my imagination, but for the background I used a real sunset as reference material. :) (Actually I had photographed it earlier on my vacation.) There's no scanning though, everything is drawn with the tablet from the scratch.

I wish I could have polished the picture a bit more, but I run out of time before the deadline. It made no big difference on the video screen though, as it's mostly about some details in the right wing and the lighting of the tail.
