Born in San Francisco, Lana has lived her entire life in the City. She graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and received a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the California School of Podiatric Medicine. She is currently in the first year of her podiatric residency at the VA Loma Linda. Her little baby, an immaculate, blue-green Acura Integra, has seen her through the best times of her life, and it will soon be celebrating its tenth birthday!

Born in Oakland, David's family moved to San Francisco when he was one and has lived there ever since. He graduated from UC Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Integrative Biology and received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Southern California. Despite spending four years in SoCal, he is still repulsed by Dodger blue and remains true to the orange and black of the San Francisco Giants.

Lana and David first met at Sunrise Pre-School when they were four years old. Friends have told them that they used to walk around the gym together and that David once pulled out Lana's chair for her! Although they went to different elementary and middle schools, they were able to meet again at Lowell High School. The high school sweethearts started dating during their sophomore year, and they went to the Junior and Senior proms together. They would be separated again for both their undergraduate and graduate years, but the time and distance apart only made their love for each other stronger, proving there is truth in the old adage: "Absence makes the heart grow fonder."

Lana and David had looked at diamonds and settings together, and they decided to take the plunge with a beautiful round brilliant solitaire diamond in a platinum setting. The ring was purchased at www.whiteflash.com. David was the first to see it when he picked it up from the FedEx station, and it was amazing!
Obviously, Lana had an idea that David was going to propose, but she didn't know when or how he would do it. On April 17, 2004, on a beautiful Saturday morning, he knocked on her bedroom door to wake her up. He surprised her with a dozen red roses, got down on one knee, and played More Than Words by Extreme on his guitar. He then asked her if she would marry him. She happily answered "yes" as David slipped the ring onto her finger.
