Multi-dimensional Roads.
Probably the best known sport riding road in Mississippi, MS 537, Red Bluff Rd, my name, is also one of the most awing. It rides the high ridge above the Pearl River Valley.
See it and read all about it in the Red Bluff Article.
Often dimensions change. The road was paved in Allen Parish, not so in Evangeline.
A serious article on riding in the Nepique River Valley is coming soon, stay tooned, oops, tuned.
Below is Toulouse Road. (say: too loose) I knew when I got onto it off of wonderful La.744, that it was going to be difficult. I was still riding the big street bike at the time so it was slow going. It was a dead end. A spooky one, ending with a deserted farm, haunted, no doubt.
Obviously, this bridge has served more than one function in the past. The sign reads, "No Shooting Off Bridge". It is near the settlement of Bayou Jack. The levee, if taken to the right, will take you to Palmetto and La.10. If you take a left, you can end up at Yellow Bayou or Plaucheville. My reasoning on the need for the sign is to prevent dead fisherman. If you have another "take" on it, let me know. And, can you start shooting upon exiting the bridge?
The beauty of Back Road Riding is that the dimensions can and do change. Even out on the plains, you'll see. Now, what do you think I found across that bridge? Ok, I don't remember.
I dont' take all these pictures for just you, you know.
Above US 190 between Opelousas an Port Barre.
