My name is Geshe Ngawang Phende, I was born in Nepal. My family lives in Nepal, running a family shop. The family members include parents, two brothers and two younger sisters. Before becoming a monk, I went to school for six years then after I ordained as monk at the age of 12 years in Dhoptop Monastery, Nepal. For the two years I was involved in learning Buddhist text and rituals. Then for the study of the Basic Buddhist Philosophy, I joined Drepung Loseling Monastery (the Central Buddhist University) India in 1982 where I learnt Buddhist Philosophy till Geshe Degree. For the further Tantrism course, I attended Gurmey Monastery for one year. Here is my bio-data which will let you to know about me.
