Wales
Wales was our first introduction to our new vehicles. The Cruisers
appeared to cope with anything we threw at them, and as a reward, we would
treat them with beautiful sunsets, and sleepy meadows

Lourens playing with his boys
"A weekend away from London!". That's what everyone talk
about when you're in the capitol, but few actually go out and enjoy the
British countryside.
Eight friends decided to head into the Brecon beacons for a weekend
away from the weeks of anguish we had in London. Work take its toll on
everyone, and mutually we decided to head into the neighbouring country of
Wales for w weekend break. It did us the world of good, and the grey
silhouettes of the Big Smoke was exchanged for enticing contrasts of pink
and blue

Musical instruments
It was a weekend filled with views and sounds. We have four different
musical instruments. In the evenings after supper, we would start chanting
away and after a few minutes find a compatible rhythm everyone was happy
with.
Music filled the valley of Wales - farmers and sheep alike must have
wondered where these unearthly sounds were coming from!

The roofrack has many uses...
The best view of course was from the top. Before I could say,
"Seven-sailors-to-a-sheep", my three travelling companions would
jump out and climb upon the roofrack. Screams of delight was heard around
every corner, and I had to contain myself by not leaping out as well and
letting go of the car

The boys back from playing on the field
It was a weekend filled with kite flying as well. Kites soaring into
the blue sky, dreaming of nothing else but our free spirits being thrown
about by the wind. We took turns flying the three available kites, the
others just lay down for a lunch time snooze, all smiles and no worries

All in all, it was a delightful
weekend. It was great to forget about life's troubles, although just
briefly. I couldn't help but feel a certain amount of resentment heading
back east to Monday's worries... |
