| After my first transplant I was able to take advantage of educational benefits through Vocational Rehabilitation services. I attended St. Charles County Community College for three years and earned an Associate of Arts degree. I majored in Art and took practically every art class that was offered. I especially enjoyed producing art projects that were large in scale. The largest piece I worked on was a geodesic dome that was both a painting and a sculpture. It was constructed from 55 individual canvasses, that were joined together with beveled edges. The dome is still on display at the college and is located in a glass enclosed stairwell next to the campus bookstore. |

| The dome, "Ode to Buckminister Fuller" is five and a half feet in diameter and is representative of a non existent planet. The lower right image of the dome was the result of my losing interest in the project and painting the "wallpaper" design in one afternoon. Eventually the dome went back into the art studio for a more creative outcome. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
