| Increased boat traffic,over-fishing,pollution and other such activities by humans are potentially threating the killerwhale and other marine mammals natural fragile environment. Killerwhales rely heavily on sounds to communicate and to navigate through the seas and oceans of this planet.The underwater sounds of such various things as fishing trollers,commerical cargo ships,cruiseline ships, submarines and naval vessels create a mask of mutated sounds that block the echolocation signals killerwhales and other marine mammals rely on. |

| We are contaminating their environment as well as their food sources!The killerwhales ingest these contaminated fishes,squid,etc...Therefore, they themselves are becoming contaminated and fall prey to illnesses and eventually death.It's not just the factories and manufactures that are disposing harmful chemicals into the oceans,boaters such as fishing vessels,etc..are dumping waste into the waters as well,without a thought to the harm that they are doing to the creatures that have to live there!Better to dump the garbage on someone else's doorsteps than our own!This type of mentally among the marine community had better change, before it' too late! |

| The next time you think about pouring out the remains of a toxic household cleaner down your drain, think twice of where that is gonna end up?In 1972 the Maritime Mammal Protection Act made it illegal to hurt,kill or harass marine mammals along and within United States waters.The balance of the marine ecosystem is as important to killerwhales and other marine mammals,as is our oxygen that we need to breathe!Man-kind is already destroying the atmosphere with pollutants and space exploration along side them, is destroying our ozone.We need to take a look at all the damage we are creating . Our children and their children are gonna suffer for our mistakes!But by then it will be too late to do anything! |

| Underwater sonar equiptment on submarines and such are a constant annoyance to marine mammals who rely on echolocation to hunt prey.Another is the naval ships that release depth charges into our seas and oceans(even on emergency training drills)are devistating aquatic life! |

| Do we really consider ourselves to be a superior race than anything else on this planet?That we take nothing into consideration in relation to what effect we are causing to other species that are forced to live among us?I think we really need to take a hard look at ourselves.Do we disregard other life forms?I wonder what other life forms think of us?We are not the only intelligent forms of live on this dying planet!Animals and marine mammals(Aquatic) life has existed long before we came along and messed everything up! |

| Please take the time to consider this question I am now posing to you!If the fish that marine life are eating is contaminated and they're dying due to it!We are eating the same food supply as them(their food supply).Are we really considering what we are ingesting?The next time you buy a can of tuna,shrimp,haddock,crab, lobster,herring and other such fishes from our supermarkets or grocery outlets remember what it took to bring it to you!It not only takes the food out the mouth of marine mammals and the families they need to feed,it's also truly polluting the very waters that we are eating these fish from as well! |
