-3/90 concern about condition of lavatories-Mrs. Potash filed a report to administration -Desegregation Plan 11/90� -Spring 1990 letter sent to the Board of Education to request retention of Mrs.Potash as Lalor�s nurse -parking/dropping off of children for class (safety issue) -concern continued about the procedure of parents calling in to report an absent child
-concern about the condition of the cafeteria tables -involved in the issue of Bike Helmet Safety (Law was pending and parents were to be fined if child not wearing helmet) -concerned about the way food was being served to the children buying lunch -spring �92 concerns about cleanliness of school (corrected) -proactive recycling stance -proactive to get out the vote/voter registration -3/94 PTA total income in excess of $25,000 needs to fill out form #990 Federal Tax -9/96 The Busy Parents Guide to Involvement in Education distributed at BTSN -Spelling Bee was eliminated-96 -requested a meeting with the Department of Public Works regarding playground equipment at back of schoolyard-2 pieces of equipment for younger children were selected -letter sent to Board of Education in support of hiring an instrumental string teacher for the high schools -3/98 concern about cleanliness of school -3/98 standing rules need to be updated *addition: all sales by PTA COD no credit, goods not turned over until money received *addition: pay for MCC dinners for executive board only, if you are a no show will repay at discretion of board, no refunds given *addition: anything purchased by PTA must remain in building ( to include non-perisables, and high tech, audio, and electronic equipment ) -3/98 concern about curbing dogs around the school -4/98 concerned about ant problem -4/98 concerned about roach problem -9/98 ammendment to bylaws to 4 general meetings, 8 member quorum, and failure by executive board member to miss 3 consecutive meetings is grounds for executive board to reassess that members position -concern about lack of participation in Safe Arrival program -11/98 form 990 IRS filed/extension ( required to file with Consumer Affairs Charitable Division ); filed 2/10/99; IRS due by 11/15/99 -safety concern about the need of a school crossing guard at school -safety of bathroom window in boys bathroom -concern about the responsibilities of playground/lunchroom aides -concern about parent notification of injury's to students and presence of nurse at school -3/99 traffic concern around school -requested NO DOGS NO BICYCLES signs on schoolyard -concern about lunch period/playground safety -concern about the 5th grade lunch helpers -concern about the type of playground "toys" -concern about outdoor grafitti
