PTA concerns
-The PTA requested a new blacktop from the Board of Education. - During the mid 70s it was possible that Lalor would be closed. It remained opened on a year to year basis due to declining enrollment in addition to the condition of the building. It remained unclear what the School Board would do. A constant campaign to keep Lalor open ensued.
-The PTA stood against a bill to aid private schools. -10/71 Stop Signs on Bow Hill were first requested. There was an ongoing safety issue, Lafayette and Schiller were made one way. A child was later hit by a car on Bow Hill- as a result a crossing guard was stationed on Bow Hill at Andrew Street. -In early 1972 the PTA seriously considered leaving the PTA. Concern was the amount of money that they were allowed to raise. The issue continues to come up in the minutes. 2/77 Earlene Czmyr (by vote of Board) had made the arrangements to meet with the State of NJ to sign papers to Incorporate ( but it is never mentioned again in the minutes so it is left unclear as to if this took place or why they dropped it). -security at and around the school was a concern -proactive to get out the vote
