-Mrs.Ward had purchased for PTA and displayed �THE� tablecloth to be used for special events. A donation of $1 was taken to sign your name on it.
-Miss Burrichter (one of our teachers) became the new vice principal of Grice
-2/61 Founders Day-past presidents
-2/61 announced that the Lalor Publicity Book was one of five chosen to be on display at convention

PTA sponsored�

-fashion show by girls in sewing class
-many speakers on parenting and social issues, slide presentations, Sgt. Fusco became a recurring speaker on various safety issues/careless driving etc., Glee Clubs performed, Judo/Karate demonstrations.
-proactive to get out the vote
-sponsored magic and cartooning programs
-held Safety Essay Contest/book as prize
-sewed new collars for the robes that the Chorale group wore.
-requesting donations of books for the library (which was ready in 1961)
-sponsored Cub Scout troops and camp fire girls
-chaired Minstrel Shows, Amateur Nights, Variety Show, Country/Western Show
-they had a �Banner� which was displayed in the classroom with the most parents attending the PTA meetings.
-showed cartoon films before Christmas recess and end of year
-Kindergarten mothers Tea
-1966 had a Bazaar with profit of $288.53

-the Canteens were now called �hops�
-collected E.L.Kerns bottle caps for $

They received a �Certificate of Appreciation� from UNICEF and a citation from The State of NJ in recognition of �Activity in Support of Pedestrian Traffic Safety�.

Charitable endeavors continued to be UNICEF, gifts to the aged at Christmas at Donnelly Memorial, and canned goods to the Florence Crittenton Mission.

PTA concerns�

-8/62 Legislative Chairman, Mrs.Pack, sent a letter to the Legislation of NY about raising the drinking age. Also sent to the governor of NY.
-8/62�Code for Comic Books�
-2/69 PTA supported Broad Street Park Civic Association in its fight against the landfill on Duck Island
